Holy Shit that footage looks awesome. And I know that it's a temp score but I hope they keep the song that was playing during Hitgirl's rampage.

Yeah, I think it's supposed to be funny.

Maybe that's why I enjoyed these clips, but not the book. The book took itself a bit too seriously for something so farcical.

It bothered me all night, but I remembered that's actually the Banana Splits theme song. By those same guys, though. I'm pretty sure it was the cover of it made for this Saturday Morning CD that came out back in the 90's. Which I think I still have...

After re-playing Ultimate Alliance and the X-Men Origins: Wolverine game the past few days, I really wish Marvel would take the money they'd put into their next few crappy animated movies and give it to Blur Studio to make a full CGI Marvel film. These guys make some slick CGI super-action. They are already making The Goon movie, hopefully that will get them noticed for bigger projects.

Haven't the said that they ditched the CG cinematics for the second one, in favor for cut scenes rendered by the actual graphics engine?

None of the trailers I've seen have had the cinematics, so yeah, probably. A different developer is making Ultimate Alliance 2. Using in-engine cut scenes is way, way cheaper, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Quality's not quite as good, but still excellent, and a movie (or a regular animated series *drool*) with this level of animation would be more than welcome, compared to the animated stuff Marvel's done so far.

Thats from a series of animated shorts that ran on Marvel.Com a while ago, but I don't think that was Blur, but that would make another good CGI movie or series.

If anybody saw the Star Wars: The Old Republic video from E3, that was blur as well. For a good laugh, check out this short video they did. Not for one of their comic book projects, but it's a Victorian era mech battle:

It had Iron Man doing stuff besides landing on the ground and just firing shit, had Spider-Man getting knocked into shit without just rolling it off and had Hulk smashing up something other than buildings and army vehicles. Win Win Win.

I really don't know how things like the train fight in Spider-Man 2 don't fit the characters. Or how Iron Man using state of the art weaponry on terrorists doesn't fit his character. Or seeing Hulk have a knock-down drag-out fight with a bigger "smarter" version of himself in the middle of a city doesn't fit...

Hulks ending was a boring slug-fest with neither doing anything particularly special or unique that hadn't been done elsewhere in the film. Iron Man was a boring slug-fest with neither doing anything particularly special or unique that hadn't been done elsewhere in the film, isolated to a relatively small area of space. Spider-Man was a somewhat brutal slugfest following a decent though tame bridge scene. Can't really remember what happened in the train scene, some jumping and then a kick and then a tentacle punch and that was it.

3 had a decent moment in the last fight where Venom and Spider-Man are falling together fighting and Venom swings away at the last moment while SPider-Man smacks into the ground.

Then I think he rolled that off.

They need more formidable cannon-fodder, especially in a Hulk film.

The dialog in the trailer has me worried. It sounds like it was generated by ClicheMaker 2003. Which would be keeping in line with all the other Marvel DTVs.

What should he do in lieu of "rolling it off"? Would it make the climax of the movie better if he got shipped off to a hospital? Instead of end the fight would you rather the story became a touching tale of a now paraplegic Spider-Man?

I prefer it when the impossible situations come after the big fights. Dark Knight did it, and Superman did it, but Spider-man fucked it up by doing the reverse.

I don't know, it's been a while, but isn't it all pretty much verbatim from the comic? And Dr. Strange was a pretty good flick, and that's a Marvel thing
