So over the weekend my girlfriend and I were out and about, and we stopped into Gamestop. I bought her a DS Lite a few years back and it's essentially her only real link to the world of videogames. I buy her stuff for it every now and then, and last Saturday I offered to let her pick out a new game. She likes the simpler stuff, like Harvest Moon DS, Animal Crossing, Wario Ware, and the Tamigotchi Connection games.
Well, she picked out something called Princess Debut, by Natsume. I typically try to steer her away from the "Imagine" titles, and the like, but it was published by Natsume and it was $20, so I figured it'd be okay, so I let her pick it up and I paid the tab.
As it turns out, she really liked it. It's a dating game like those that are popular in Japan, sprinkled in with a mix of some Ouendan-esque dancing sequences. She's already almost finished with it, but she noted that she's gonna play through it multiple times for the different endings.
So, I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for something similar on the DS that I could surprise her with next. Y'know, those quirky Japanese dating games with bright pink colors and cutesyness. I don't know where to start, but I thought maybe someone here could point me in the right direction.
I read in someone's Amazon review of Debut that the "Imagine: Figure Skater" is actually a sister title to this, as if Ubisoft just translated a Japanese game and dubbed it their own. Any idea what that's about?
Finally anyone know anything about the game My World, My Way? It also looked interesting, both to her and I, but she's not really big into RPGs, and I'd hate to get her something that she'd have trouble with.
