I've occasionally seen this bug on the walls of my apartment. Not often, but I've seen a few over the years. They're really weird, and as far as I can tell very slow moving, crawling up the walls and such, but I don't know what they are. Any ideas?

If you mean the big grey thing that almost looks like some kind of cocoon, then yes, it is moving with it. As far as I can tell, it may be part of the bug. Although, like I said, it seems to be extremely slow moving.

It honestly looks like the ass end of a wasp. You'll probably have better luck on the websites with an entomologist on hand.

Have you touched the shell thing? It looks like a casing of tiny pebbles and dirt... how the hell does that thing move?

it looks like a caddisfly or stonefly larvae. do you live by a body of water? if so, thats probably it.

I can't see the image here at work, so I'll have to check when I get home. But going by the vague descriptions...

Is it similar to this? Hemip%20Reduviidae%20nymph%20p5&6%20p18%207.25.01%20n19.jpg

These secrete sticky substances that will attract dust/lint to them and give them a 'grey coccoon' appearance as part of a camoflage mechanism.

Hmmm. Interesting, but this does indeed look like it. Thanks! This can be locked now.
