I have this Panasonic wet/dry thing and I'm going to shave my head with it. It says I can use liquid soap with it, but is this ok for head-shaving? Is this like hand soap or what? Can I use something else instead?
How big is this razor and how much hair are you chopping off?
If you're talking about a body grooming electric razor, you could conceivably do touching up or remove short hair. But I certainly would not trust it for a full head. I'm not sure you'd get it all even.
Oh, and you don't need any soap or water or anything to shave your head. Unless you're talking about shaving it with a blade razor. If that's the case, you'll want to use a shaving cream like you would for your face.
Yes, definitely shaving cream rather than liquid soap. Liquid soap can either make your scalp painfully dry and uncomfortable, or much shinier than you'd like, or both.
If you have an electric head shaver (Like the Wahl linked) you don't need to use any sort of soap. I use an electric shaver every couple weeks on my husband's head without problem. You don't get Vin Diesel smooth with those, but that's how I like him.
My hair was already shaved really short (like no guard), and now I'm trying to use this electric shaver that you can use in the shower to keep it that way.
You'd have the best results just taking a regular old Bic to it, probably.
Yes, if you want to remove the hair and not just shorten it, using something like a Mach3 works really well in my personal experience. Just be carful with how fast and what angles you hold the razor... I have accidentally removed swaths of skin near my temples a couple times.
I used to shave mine with my mach 3 razer. No soap or shaving cream, but I dont use shaving cream for my face either, so your skin might be more sensitive. Did it in the shower usually and finished up any 'missed spots' after I got out. If youve never shaved it before, get a barber/hair dresser to take the electric razer to the head and shave it down short for you and then finish it off yourself when you get home.
Also, buy some Nivea fo rMen balm. Apply to the head after shaving.

They make electric razors specifically for shaving heads. You'd want something like this if you expect to get it even: http://www.amazon.com/Wahl-79524-1001-Multi-Cut-Clipper-Trimmer/dp/B000I1S18Y/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1236232672&sr=1-3
