auto_index apache

I'm looking for a way to access the auto_index feature in apache on one of my websites for an external app test. Problem is, there's already an index.html/php in place. Is there a way to magically get it to auto_index if the auto_index wasn't specifically denied?

Something like:

http://192.168.0.12/?C=N;O=D

That would work on auto_index normally

Is there anyway to call it like:

http://192.168.0.12/.ai?C=N;O=D

Or any other permutation while the index.html or .php resides on the server? If not, no biggie.

not a doctor, not a lawyer, examples I use may not be fully researched so don't take out of context plz, don't @ me
