I use the align tool enough for this to bother me:
What determines which of the select layers gets moved when the two are aligned? I've tried about 5 different ways of selecting these two layers, and it's always the same one, and the one I don't want, that gets moved so that they are aligned.
EDIT: Also: How do I copy a greyscale image into a layer mask so that that image is used as the layer mask?
