Did my headset just die?

I'm using a Logitech USB PS2 headset. It's served me faithfully for a few years now. Today I was listening to music and it just cut out in the middle of a song. No more sound is coming out of the headset. I'm not sure what to do, or even if there is anything to do. It's been a bit crackly lately, but it just died out of nowhere.

I've checked my Input Output and they are all set to the headset.

Unplugging the headset and replugging it and restarting didn't work. Not sure what else to try.

Try it on another computer, but yeah, it's probably dead.

Is the headset being recognized in any way when you plug it in? Have you tried other USB ports? Other things into that USB port?

Try it with another source, and try another headset (or any headphones?) with your current source.
