    southern jersey is several hours drive from NYC
    The distance from southern Jersey to NYC is shorter than the distance from Ukiah to San Francisco.

    I used to drive that far to watch a goddamn movie. It's really fucking close.

    I have returned from lunch. You ever talk to someone who is so boring that no matter what they are talking about its boring by extension? They could be talking about a group sex orgy that began a wildfire and I'd still find myself nodding and saying yeah.

    South Jersey really does suck. It's like a low rent version of Long Island: lots of Guidos leeching off the culture of a nearby city (Long Island : NYC :: Southern Jersey : Philly).

    it does have decent shore spots though. they can be fun for like 2 weeks at a time.

    Similar. I have somebody who occasionally comes with our lunch group who can only talk about one thing: his time in the military. ANY conversation topic will instantly be related to "When I was in the military blah blah."

    When I was very young my family would take summer trips down to Wildwood. I really loved the boardwalk and the piers, and there was this pizzeria called Mack's Pizza that was just the best pizza ever. I haven't been back in over ten years. Cape May was nice too.

    Wildwood is nice for the beach

    seriously i've never felt sand as silky as that before

    The only bad thing is you walk to the dunes, you get on the boardwalk, and it's like 300 feet to go on burning sand to get to the actual water

    there's stuff in newark you won't find in the rest of jersey.

    perhaps we just like different things. I mean, I don't live in newark and I don't really want to, but I'd say the same thing about NYC. I'm extremely glad to be very very close.

    Yeah it was pretty far. Might have had something to do with how little I was, though.

    Well for me the lady is one of our trainers at work and she kayaks and does this mountain climbing stuff which should be super interesting, but she just makes it so boring and she talks to you like your a kindergartner so I just tune her out and hope she goes away.
