So I followed the steps to get FCOM installed (the omod version), and so far everything runs smoothly enough.
But then I tried to install "All Natural", and the game crashed on the launcher, so I had to deactivate it.
Is there no way to get it working?
Are you using Wrye Bash and BOSS? Make sure your load order is right and you've remade your Bashed Patch. That's the extent of my modding knowledge but when my game cacks up it's usually because of one of those two.
All Natural is weather effects. Surprised people didn't know about it here, it's one of the more requested mods.
I didn't install WB or BOSS because frankly I couldn't figure out how to use either of them. How do I get them to auto-correct the load order (or does it not do that)?

Don't really know how bashed patches work either.
I'll go ahead and link you to this thread, where I gave some good advice on this topic, and to page 53 of the very thread we are posting in which is the first page of a discussion that spans about 4 pages, a discussion in a large part between you and me, where I talk about what you really ought to be doing if you would like to get mods working.

I don't know if All Natural will run at all if you aren't using Wrye Bash.
BOSS autocorrects your load order. All you do is run it and it fixes everything on its own. It also spits out a log file that has suggestions and notes about the mods you have installed, including which ESPs you should leave disabled, which can be merged into your bashed patch, what tags to add to stuff in bash, whether you're running outdated versions of mods, and a bunch of other stuff. Basically just do what BOSS says and you should be fine. The FCOM bundle should already be completely set up for everything, though.
Wrye Bash is a little more complicated. There's extensive documentation here. The big problem with mod conflicts is that only one ESP can affect one thing at a time. If you have several mods that add things to the same merchant's inventory, only the one loaded last will actually make its changes. Bash copies all the relevant information from all of those ESPs and merges it into a single ESP (bashed patch) which you put at the end of your load order so that it overrides all the individual ones.
Basically, all you need to do is go through the various ESPs in your load order and make sure they have the correct tags for the kind of changes it makes that will conflict with other mods. When you click on an ESP in bash, there's a box in the lower right of the program that shows what tags are associated with it. Right click and add a tag if one is missing. Readmes and BOSS will tell you which tags you need to have on what. Like I said before, the FCOM bundle should already have this all set up, so you just have to worry about All Natural. Then right click on your bashed patch ESP and click the option to rebuild it. Make sure everything is checked except the optional tweaks, then let it go. Then run BOSS again to make sure everything's still sorted, and you should be ready to play.
edit: Also, you could read all that stuff up there because it's probably more thorough than I am being.
Does anyone have any mod recommendations for Morrowind that wouldn't add a lot to the sys reqs? I'm running a lappy with a core 2 duo T6600 @ 2.2gHz, 3 gigs of RAM, and a GeForce 8200M G. For frame of reference, I could probably run vanilla Oblivion (low settings) at 20-ish fps. Thanks in advance.
You need to create a bashed patch using Wyre Bash to get All Natural to work properly, I believe.
There is even a specific .esp file, "All Natural Filter" that you are supposed to leave unchecked when you play, but you need to create a bashed patch using it.
Does Francesco's include changes for level scaling? I'm starting to wonder if it does. Although there are still a fair share of foes I kill pretty quickly, it feels like some zombies and stuff have scaled. Maybe I'm just wondering into tougher areas?

I can safely assure you that pretty much anything you find for Morrowind will run well on that laptop. My old PC that I played Morrowind on? 1.0 ghz Athlon processor, 1 GB of RAM, and a GeForce Ti4200. And I had Morrowind modded to the fucking nines on that thing.
Combat Enhanced, the Tamriel Rebuilt stuff, most of the things on Planet Elder Scrolls' Top Downloads list... Morrowind Wanderers Edition may make things chug a bit, but that's largely due to the engine's limitations.

Good lord how hard is it to request a password reset on TES Nexus? I can't complete the cheat sheet because I'm waiting for a responce. I'm gonna have to make a new account. What a pain in the ass.

This was originally a catch-all Elder Scrolls thread, the other got started as a Skyrim-specific thread while this one was buried some pages down but became a catch-all ES thread like they all do, and then this one got dug up.
I think.
I didn't even know THIS thread existed until it popped back up. The Skyrim thread has kind of become a catch-all Elder Scrolls thread since this one slipped off the pages.
Anyway, I've recently installed Morrowind and Oblivion again and modded them. Morrowind was easy with the Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds & Graphics. Then I added a few other gameplay mods like Starfire's NPC Additions, Children of Morrowind, Hold It, Tamriel Rebuilt, Less Generic NPCs and the Julan companion mod. I'm considering removing Starfire's NPC Additions, though, as some areas look a little too crowded. I'm concerned it might make me miss some quests, too?
Oblivion took about a week instead of a day like Morrowind to get modded. Pain in the ass. But it's finally finished, with mods like FCOM and Better Cities installed and working, and I've made a sexy, sexy man to slay monsters with:
Some mods that I really want are not being accepted by Mod Manager. I'm trying to install All Natural and DarkUI, but they both stop because they say I need MMM for Franscescos. I've already added MMM, Fransescos, OOO and Warcry, and put them all together in FCOM.

I followed the Cheat Sheet as best I can, but this is what's going on. The game wont start, and when I tried to install All Natural, it stopped and said MMM for Fransesco was missing. However I installed FCOM, and I think Boss told me to delete it because it was obsolete or something.
And now this is what Wyre Bash looks like:
Why are the major mods reddened (saying Master Files are missing), and how do I resolve this? Will BOSS start bitching again if I put that back in? And if so, what's the proper way to put them back in?

All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.

Yeah, I meant MCA, but also had it mixed up a bit with Morrowind Adventurers.
