I have a quick question about the Watchmen graphic novel (I havent read it in a loooong time)....

Where did Veidt have the giant psychic squid stored before he dropped it on New York? Its not exactly something that you can keep secret.

It was on the island where he had all the writers and artists.

    Which reminds me.

What does the Comedian stumble upon that causes him to breakdown if it's not the island?

Am I the only one who though All Along the Watchtower made that scene awesome?

Maybe it's just because I really like Jimi Hendrix

    No you are not.

Although yeah really liking Hendrix can't hurt with that.

Then again I didn't have a problem with any of the musical selections.

I like the way they had Ozy catch the bullet. I was afraid they were going to go all bullet time on that scene.

I think my favorite sequence was Doctor Manhattan's flashbacks (which is also my favorite chapter).

I was so happy when they actually used the Philip Glass track from the trailer, it works so well.

    I definitely started rocking out.

Of course, there was a slight pang of fanboy-ism when they timed Dan and Rorschach's arrival with "Two riders were approaching" and they didn't have Dan's hover-scooter-things in the film. Very slight, though.

I kind of missed the Hover-scooters, but them just walking to the fortress was pretty bad-ass.

And I really loved Dan's snow owl suit.

I went and saw this last night around 7 and was surprised that there were only about twenty people in our theatre.

Those twenty people were annoying enough, chuckling every time they saw a butt or dong, not to mention bringing their 8 year old kids.

Read this New York Times review then.

Just got back, and I liked it a lot. That one sex scene was embarrassingly long. Like, the theater was getting a bit uncomfortable long.
