Adding spoiler and realspoiler tags

As far as I know, anyone who wants to add spoiler tags has to add them manually. Would there be any feasible way to add spoiler and realspoiler tags to the BBcode button list?

I can think of several occasions in which people said things like "I don't know how to do the spoiler tag so HERE IT IS lolz." No, it's not too difficult to type, and perhaps it isn't completely necessary to have on the BBcode button list, but if it wouldn't be too hard to add, I could see where it would be useful.

Random brainfart: make a Greasemonkey script that replaces a rarely used button (Code or lists, for example) with spoiler tags.

I'd give hugs to whoever is less lazy than me and makes it.

I'm just speaking from a 'why not?' point of view. I don't really know how long it would take to add such a thing, but it would certainly be nice to have.

i think it would also reduce the number of times that someone messes up the tags, which usually results in alot of hooplah

Perhaps in the forum's next life we can get something that requires the use of preview when the post contains the word spoiler, in a tag or otherwise.

Over at a splinter forum I frequent, whoever writes the code over there wrote the spoiler tags so you have to click a "spoiler" button on the post in order to view the text inside the BBcode. I'd prefer this way, ideally, but the method we use now works just as well.

I think that might be a vBulletin 'thing', since all the forums I can think of that do that are vB, but I might be wrong.

The common vB one is mouseover the blacked out spoiler text which can still sit on the same line as regular text.

There's other plugins for both phpbb and vB that do what he described, but we can't really work them in to this forum.

I'm 100% sure that the next iteration of PA forum software will include a spoiler tag button. It's among the most-asked-for features.
