So, I just stumbled on this thread... seems like it might be a fun thing to try. My character's name is Zed McDougan. I joined the WANG group (per the OP instructions) and will start making my way to Sacrletwood. Started out as a fireman, wacked (and killed!) a zombie outside the fire station and ran back inside exhausted. So, it might take me a few days to make it out there.
Apparently there is a way to claim radio stations, and our frequency has been claimed by another group, but they are inactive so I don't think it will be a problem.
Ive edited the radio frequencies list on the Urban Dead wiki to list We Are Nice Guys & Galaxy Dongs Radio.

When I just went down to Hillard Road PD, I'm pretty sure it said they were back down to VSB. So we'll see how long it'll last this time. (They'll probably get the hint right after we all have freerunning.)

Dude, I've got like 7 pistol clips and 1 spare shell. NO pistols and 1 shotgun. Luckily this is on Simon, my fireman so, "have Axe, will travel."
I've got a whole bunch of everything... whenever I have a few AP near a PD I'll hop in an search. I don't use any of it since I'm kind of a non-combatant. I may eventually grab a few skills if the time comes when I am needed more for my brawn than my brain(doubtful).
I don't really do much, I joined Penny-Arcade Rebal Alliance* and got some XP, once PARA dissolved I wandered then came down here as fast as I could and I just resurrect someone once in a while... I really need to get some xp flowing.

(edit) Used every last one of my action points and first aid kits... you're only up to 28 health, but your infection's gone, and I managed to get back inside the building.
So, ignoring Scarletwood then, what would we want to look for in a prospective terror suburb?
A neighborhood without any organized defense forces. You could use the wiki to find likely places.
At least for the time being, while we are lowbies I think a spot with other friendlies is the best, so Scarletwood is pretty good for our needs.
GBP seems to be friendly folks, and have talked about working together. They're a lot higher level than us, but we have alot more active manpower, so potentially we could work together on doing some scouting for them, that kind of thing. It's stuff we'd probably do anyways, and they can teach us alot of things, so it'd be mutually beneficial.

I think we should stay in Scarletwood, since we are rather well established here.
We could make a outpost on the NW border, since there seems to be a bunch of zeds over there.

We should really just level up off of healing one another and attacking whatever zeds are shambling through the area till we can each free run, ankle grasp, and hand to hand/axe or shoot things. That way at least we can operate solo (for the most part) if required. Wouldn't help for a few of us to get surgery/diagnosis either.

edit: started as a firefighter.
Chop zombies and get First Aid Kits and heal people.
Then get Hand-To-Hand Combat and really go chop zombies.
Oh, and thanks to Jaramr's antics, I'm now redownloading Fallout 3. God damnit.

If people really want to claim an entire suburb for ourselves we can try to scout out one that doesn't have a unified presence.

We should be more concerned with the Red suburb to the North West, Wray Heights, and keeping the zeds from getting into Scarletwood.
