Yes, it wastes the syringe to try to revive a rotter not in a powered NT building. I don't think any of us are going to be firing randomly as far as syringes go, though, if any of us can even use them; long as you don't hang around in designated revive points, it shouldn't be a problem for you to be nearby.

(edit) er, sorry, that didn't quite answer your question. All I see is "a zombie" when I see zombies. I think you need to do a DNA extraction in order to be able to identify a zombie, and that tells you if they're a rotter or not. Most people who can do revivification are going to be able to do DNA extractions, too, though, so I wouldn't worry too much. Like I said, I don't think anyone's going to be trying a random jab with a valuable syringe.

Hah, can any zombies automatically respond and fight back? Because I had an epic battle with one a second ago, where it was gripping me and clawing me as I desperately clicked my attack button. I won, but I wonder if I'd been slower could the zombie have out-clicked me?

Its great chasing survivors too, if they get infected and start to run, you jump from block to block as they try to find a VSB spot to hide in or lose you somehow.
AP wise its not a smart tactic to follow them, but its definatly fun!

Just a question for your convenience... As ive got brain rot, can you see that and know not to try to bring me back? Like, when i camp here am i diluting the rescueable zeds and making you possibly waste syringes? I can always shamble elsewhere.

(I do want to join you guys if i can get my level 43 dude revived. Ive been out scouting and entertaining myself as a zed, but i came back to your revive point for a bit, as i got me face shotgunned again and im bleeding profusely.)
Also, i could have sworn i got res'd once outside of an Ntech while having brain rot. I thought it just lowered the chances of coming back. I guess not though?

If you want I'm willing to use 2 syringes to try, past that and I'm not sure if I'll have the AP(assuming they still count it as 10ap) or the stock to continue. I am at the Thompson Building(79-84) if you want to stand outside, I can also try and coordinate a time to lower the barricades and sneak you in if you want to go that route.

    Since your last turn:

    * The lights went out in St Telesphorus's Hospital. (22 minutes ago)

I think it's neat how a text-based game can inspire feelings of dread in me.

Probably partly due to the fact that I'm more afraid of zombies than pretty much anything else "scary."

Brain-rot can only be cured inside a NT building as far as I can find. However, there are a few NT buildings out there that are left unbarricaded, just to revive rotters.

    http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Brain_rot

    See end of that article

St. Telesphorus's Hospital is back at EHB for now, but there's still 6 zombies outside. Good killing if you have the AP to get there and back to safety.

The Mall Tour is still in full swing, just about finished in Buttonville from what I can tell. So you will want to stay away from the Suburbs adjacent to there. We seem to be moving east.

I put in a request, I'm not sure how they will feel about it but if all else fails there is an unused NT building(I think) that we could set up in Scarletwood for our own purposes, running that would probably cut down on how many people I could revive at the RP though. I say if we have an extra generator around we can set the building up and keep an eye on it.

So I carefully planned out going back to a VSB after using a days worth of AP chopping at a zombie. Except Edgecombe is apparently not sticking to its barricade plan, and I had no where to stay (I'd even left extra AP in case one or two places weren't VSB like they were supposed to be). I managed to make it just outside a police station thats supposed to be VSB before it ran out. If I check back in half an hour and I can't get in... think I'm gonna go chomp on the brains of the idiots that wouldn't let me in.

EDIT: yep, its ESB. Stay away from Edgecombe. Was gonna level up as a survivor, but looks like I'm gonna have to be a zombie because people don't stick to the plan.

My zombie alt pretty much just starts zombie mosh-pits to get xp. I've tried beating up barricades, but that never works. Technically the area he is in is considered a ghost town, so I should probably just move him...

My real character, though, is still steadily making his way down to the rest of you WANG's. I've got hand-to-hand, axes, free running and diagnose now, and I've got about 5 FAK's. I might go search out some more before moving on, as there's a lit hospital in my current area.

I am doing better in the tour then I did on my own. On my own I was dead every other day, in the tour I have been able to hit some barricades, destroy a generator, and get some exp for hitting breathers. Still haven't gotten a kill though. I just check the target thread occasionally so that I have an idea of where a mob o'zeds will be and try to join a few of them hoping I don't get targetted when the breathers take their swings.

FYI, St. Telesphorus's Hospital is probably a lost cause. I spent a few AP reupping the barricade, but it was coming down as fast as I built it up. The zombies outside really want in.

The good news, it's a good place to get some XP smashing zombies, for the next little bit.

St. Spyridon's to the direct NE is still EHB and looks to be in fine shape.

I was in buckley, I was part of destroying the NW corner, then by the time I reached the NE corner and the SE corner everyone was already slaughtered, so I went outside and followed the mob to Julie, when I first got there the doors were "Secured" but there were 15 or 20 Zombies milling about, I let my AP regen and now I am inside the Hospital. I hope to get in a few more swings before the 30ish other zombies kill all the breathers inside. I am closing in on 80 experience so getting close to buying my first skill.

Lurching Gait and then Ankle Grab, I have had 5 deaths since I started playing, which is a lot of AP I could have used swinging at Survivors/Barricades/equipment.

(breathers is a term I saw being used on the barhah forums when talking about survivors, and figured it would be fun to use it here to show people I am a Zombie player. Though I am considering a Survivor alt.)

Oh that's where my zombie is at right now, Julie hospital. There were like 21 people there when I woke up this morning, now there are like 7 humans and 33 zombies with the zombies dragging the corpses out to the street.

Having "Keep EHB" spray painted on the wall is pretty funny when there's a horde of zombies inside.
