My headset is posessed.

Okay, so my girlfriend picked up a headset for the computer so we could use voice online, the sweetheart. Anyway, for reasons beyond my reckoning, the headset HATES me. Whenever my girlfriend is using it, it works exactly as it should, however, whenever *I* plug it in, this happens:

"A device has been plugged into an audio jack!"

"A device has been removed from an audio jack."

"A device has been plugged into an audio jack!"

"A device has been removed from an audio jack."

"A device has been plugged into an audio jack!"

"A device has been removed from an audio jack."

What the deuce? I plug it into the same holes that she does!

Does this happen even if you're not actually wearing the headset? If your head is wider than hers it's possible there's a wiring fault inside the headset that's only triggered when the headset is stretched further than the width of your girlfriend's head.

Is this a wired or wireless headset?
