The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
You're buying down the interest rate of the loan, at a rate of 1 point = 1/8th of an interest rate %
Interest rates seem to be pretty low, I think money might be better spent getting to 20% down so you dont have to pay PMI.
If he's refinancing it I'm guessing he already owns it, so PMI probably isn't a consideration. Unless he's refinancing for more than 80% of the value of the house. Also, it's only 1/8th of 1%? We're 16 days from closing on a house we're buying, and the 1 point we have to pay on the house equaled 1% of the mortgage value.
So I don't drop in here often anymore, but I just felt the need to share this.
You know all those crappy/mediocre videos people post up of themselves learning to play various instruments on youtube? This guy sampled a bunch of them and composed actual pieces of music out of them, and they're pretty awesome.
Satellite radio is not doing well because paying for radio is silly
To an extent. I've grown pretty bored with my own music collection and I despise commercials (plus O&A are off K-Rock now due to a format flip...). So I want to give Satellite a try, but apparently all the necessary hardware is fuck all expensive. The 13 bucks a month doesn't bother me at all, but like 200 for a tuner when my receiver is "Satellite Ready" is a bit retarded.

I can't afford to pay off 20% of my house. I can afford to refinance. Where's your logic in that?

Definitely recommend if you're ever in the area. They don't sell the issues, just the trade paperbacks and graphic novels. My friend Rory who ran the place died last year but it seems like they're still trucking.

It's a shame about the harmonica kinda obviously being to a different beat in the first song, because otherwise, it's probably my favorite song of the group.
I've been in a game wanting mood lately since I haven't actually played any video games for a good while, since I am car riding it up to Montreal on friday (almost a 6 hour drive) I think I should get a new DS game.
What are some good DS games that came out this year? Specifically RPG or strategy, I saw Fire Emblem and Dragon Quest so far.

Dragon Quest IV was great. Perfect difficulty (at least until the last boss, who was a bit bullshit) and just good clean fun all the way around.
If you haven't caught up to Phoenix Wright 4, or Apollo Justice or whatever it's called, that's another good option. Or Hotel Dusk.

I remember playing Dragon Quest I and II for GBC, also I played the latest one on PS2, good fun.
I never played Disgaea and it's out for DS... I should probably leave school early and go the Best Buy and get a game or two.
I think I'm going to stay out of in depth discussions now, I find I'm getting irrationally angry over small things and it's clouding my judgement.
You should take bio 101, though.
Haha! :P
That guy is very intelligent.
And I don't think he understood the slightest bit of what I was saying in my post, or the reason/context for which it was posted.
I'm stating pretty much things from a book, and from course tutors. He was trying to act all clever clogs arrogant when I was debating why evolution can be seen as a factor here. As evolution is not just a "Look we've grown gills"! It can be absolutely anything, from a constant defect in our ability to deal with disease within a community, to having smaller nipples on males because they are unnecessary.
Ok, I know there's been a lot of talk in Chat lately about alts but that's because there have been a lot of alts to talk about.
So, just out of curiosity how is MasterOfSporks not WiiGirl? It's the same market-research bullshit. Exactly. And like 2 days tops after WiiGirl got booted.
Is it normal for market-researchers to create a Deviant Art profile a couple years in advance before they start doing the market research, but only after their first screenname has been banned? It just seems like kind of a poor expenditure of resources even by marketing standards.

Yeah, it's rather funny, especially when I remembered what your field of expertise is.

I never saw the appeal.
I look at pictures of bridges.
This is my career choice also!
You have met the mighty Toady?
This is pretty cool.
Nah, remember we all chipped in and bought him that coat hanger.

5 and 6 are probably the weakest.
I've been finding this lately.
It's when you find yourself quietly seething about something the next day that you need to start thinking about stepping away.
