How do you hide the UI again in this game? I knew it at some point but it's completely slipped my mind...
Also, was there an option to take high-res screenshots or some such in this game too? I remember reading about that but I could be completely wrong here.
I am also loving my BW, 23 at this point. What I'm not liking however is the fact he is stuck on Gorfang, a place where I don't think RvR even exists. We never control any zones and I've only seen IC under siege once. I've never seen Altdorf under siege. Scenarios also like to almost never pop.
Okay, so if I find myself able to play again in the near future are The Six Mouths active on Iron Rock? Or do we still have a stronger lowbie presence on Dark Crag? It's been awhile since I last logged in.
There's about 24 people in Iron Rock, there's only between 1 and 4 people on at any given time, the majority of us seem to be T2 with a few T4's.
I'm about to be T3.
But oh dear, does content ever run dry once you hit Chapter 9. Level 18.5 and only a few quests left to complete it all of the lands. (at least, at-level quests).
I believe it's shift+z. You can always re-roll onto a more active server. It'll probably go a lot faster and be much more rewarding in the end.
Thanks, and yes, I could re-roll. But I dunno, I've already sort of stuck it this far with this character and the server could always improve. I shall remain optimistic, I'll probably make an Engineer or some such on Badlands or Phoenix Throne soon though.

We'll see if we can get a few of the weekend's events up and running, either for T3 or T4. I've been hopping on at random times, though (being sick for the past week) and we seem to have a smattering of off hour people at any given time. Evenings may be out for anything coordinated on Iron Rock.
As for content, I hear that pretty constantly, but I've stayed with one pairing pretty much the entire time (minus a few PQs that gave influence for stuff I wanted). Are you doing a lot of ORvR or Scenarios between quests? I just hit the second half of T3 Chaos PvE, and I'm almost at 30; I'll probably end up dropping a bunch of High Pass quests.

Gorfang isnt looking too good pop-wise, to be honest. At least according to waralytics, while Badlands is now in the top 3-5.

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

Very soon probably, so I don't get too attached to my BW. (Which I guess I already sort of am.)
I know Engineers are fun, I have yet to try a Shadow Warrior... any other classes to consider? I am not a huge fan of melee stuff, I played a BO in the beta and didn't enjoy it and my WH didn't really interest me either, although WHs can look very cool.
How are White Lions damage-wise, how do they play?

white lions are pretty good, but there's a huge debate right now if they're "useful" with the slayers out and killing things. They're both melee, WL being "kill the guy in front of me," and slayer being "kill the 20 people in front of me and hope I die honorably in the attempt." Engineers and Shadow Warriors... kill stuff at range, usually. It irks me to see a SW running ahead of the tanks into a group of detro, then excusing his death by saying he's assault spec.
One thing I still like about this game is there is a pretty good variety of classes to choose from on both sides. The problem lies in finding something you like "the most."
In regards to Waralytics, it's a bit out of date. There's a different site that has a more up-to-date polling. Last I saw this one had a fairly current reading (can't check it right now cause I'm at work though. http://www.warheap.com/servers/view/?si=2
Since Red Eye Mountain no longer exists I'm assuming the former (Iron Rock). I've decided to move my BO/Sha/BG over since I'll be likely to play again for the RvR. Just need to find out what time the ones who are left play during.
Just rolled a sorcerer because I had some friends mucking about and I was like ololol op. But seriously, the class is ridiculous. From level 7 to 11 in a day full of scenarios, I only didn't place first in every meaningful category in one scenario. I just got out of a game where I had 26 killing blows and put out 43k damage, next highest was 22k. And sorcerers are worse then bright wizards from what I hear. Fucking crazy, and I'm not even at the really broken levels yet.

people consider the sorc overpowered again? Last time I played, people were complaining about how underpowered the sorc was
Resists are now capped at 40% instead of the previous 80%. It's changed things pretty significantly.
Yes, it's made Sorcs and BWs basically viable in endgame RvR, but they're still nowhere near as dominant there as they are in Tier 1. And that's what we're talking about here, a T1 Sorc who's nuking people with little to no resists, and gaining crit rate and crit bonus from Dark Magic that no other Destruction class can even hope to approach at that level. Sorcs and BWs have always been crazy powerful in T1, but they come down to earth in T2 and beyond, where anyone who's serious about RvR should be packing enough resists to be at or close to the 40% soft cap. On my Knight, I'm so far over the soft cap that even when debuffed my resists will mitigate 40%+ of a Sorc's damage. But that's because I run Gather Your Resolve specifically as protection against resist debuffs, in addition to its own offensive debuff utility.
Ok, so DW get an additional parry bonus, while putting out arguably the same single-target dps as a 2-hander?
Now, when testing s/b vs 2h dps on TANKS, the findings were that the more STR you stacked, the damage increase from 2h became smaller and smaller.
Now that we have melee dps classes that can use both DW and 2h, does the same hold true? And if it does, then there's no real reason to use a 2h, especially considering that DW gets the parry bonus and 2h doesn't have an equivalent bonus.
Has anyone done extensive testing with the new careers yet? Also, is the parry bonus something that has been officially confirmed?
you're ignoring that a dw will take more dam from tactics or abilities that cause them to take dam from each hit they land since they attack faster
Except they won't really, since Mythic LOLNERFED shield of the sun AND on your guard to proc max 1 time per 2 seconds. Only thing that still works is thorn potions and they are cultivating only and don't stack with armor or resist pots.
I really feel that AOE is ruining this game. When a BW and a Slayer can take a full party down below half health in less than 5 seconds with two zealots healing them it's ridiculous. They need to tone down all AOE somehow. Maybe make it so it can't crit or something.
I love playing this game but it's always ruined by some coordinated AOE, and no amount of healing can counteract it.

What tier are we speaking of? I've been reading impressions from a few 40 slayers, and they say AoE hurts them as much as you, if not more. Keeping in mind to reach their full damage potential, they are 50% easier to murder.
In fact, 40 Slayers/Choppas are asking for some more survivability, as they get cut down by incidental AoE before they even reach their targets.

yeah but that's their fucking fault for choosing to stay fully zerked
it's the price you pay (and I play a choppa, I understand the need to choose between dumping rage and doing more dam)
so I agree with your point that they're easier to kill when fully raged but disagree that they need more survivability

Its not limited to slayers/choppas. The cool thing to now complain about is RoF/PoS.
I'm well aware of the trade-offs of the classes. I simply wanted to know what tier he was talking about, since the Rank 40 impressions I'm seeing state the problem he is having applies equally to Slayers/Choppas, especially at max level.
No where was "my" point that they needed more survivability, I merely was relaying info from higher ranked players. I'm not 40 yet, so I'm just a messenger, as I have no real experience of this from an endgame standpoint.
Don't put words in my mouth.

Speaking of survivability, who would you guys say spends more time dead and/or running back from the spawn point in scenarios? Slayers/Choppas, or Bright Wizards/Sorcs? Both have a degree of control over how easily they die.

What I'm saying is that they do burst. Burst is what cuts through healing in this game. Small baby step constant hits get healed through.
