Mass ID3v tag editor [Lock o' clock]

I'm looking to change the info on a bunch of mp3's. I've tried googling for a program to assist with this, but have found nothing but a jumbled mess of mostly adds and links to oblivion. My google skills have proven weak in the past, so I'm hoping someone either already knows of a program or could help me find one. It'll have to be free as It's for a one time use.

Also, I'm not sure that the id3v tags are what I'm actually looking to change. Winamp pulls up 'metadata' to modify a track's name/artist/album, which is not what I'm familiar with. Insight on that would probably be helpful as well.

    Download the Picard Tagger, it can scan your files, find the right tags, and change them for you.
