Seeing the incredible amount of Arrested Development love that goes on around here, I was surprised to find out about this little gem on the horizon all on my own.
"Sit Down, Shut Up"
Spoilered for stolen Wiki:
Sit Down, Shut Up,[2] originally titled Class Dismissed,[3] is an upcoming American animated sitcom based on the short-lived Australian sitcom Sit Down, Shut Up. It is produced by Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Josh Weinstein Productions, The Hurwitz Company, The Tannenbaum Company, Granada America and Tantamount. It was picked up by Fox in May 2008[4] and will debut on April 19, 2009 at 8:30 PM where it joins The Simpsons, Family Guy, and American Dad! as part of FOX's Animation Domination lineup.[1] It will also air on Global (and Fox) in Canada;[5] the premiere dates in other parts of the world are not yet announced.
The show was set up by Mitch Hurwitz, creator of Arrested Development; and Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum, from "Two and a Half Men". Hurwitz wrote the first script and decided to take a more supervisory role.[6] Josh Weinstein, a former writer for The Simpsons, will also be an executive producer. Bill Oakley, another Simpsons writer, was originally on board, but production of the series stopped during May 2008 due to a contract dispute between the staff and Sony, which resulted in Oakley ending his involvement with the show. Sony refused to offer a contract which operated under the complete terms of the Writers Guild of America. Eventually a compromise was reached and production resumed in June.

Voice cast
The series "follows a group of unconventional teachers and staff members working at a high school in a small northeastern fishing town who never lose sight of the fact that the students must ALWAYS come second." It will feature the voices of:[2]
* Will Arnett as bodybuilder Ennis Hofftard
* Jason Bateman as Larry Littlejunk[8], the gym teacher and only staff member that can teach.
* Kristin Chenoweth as Miracle Grohe, a religious science teacher.[9]
* Will Forte as Vice Principal Stuart Prozackian.
* Tom Kenny as Happy, the secretive custodian.
* Nick Kroll as Andrew Legustambos, the flamboyant and bisexual drama teacher
* Cheri Oteri as Helen Klench, the unappreciated librarian.
* Kenan Thompson as acting principal Sue Sezno, who, as evidenced by her last name, never says "Yes".
* Henry Winkler as Willard Deutschebog, a suicidal German teacher.
Originally, Larry Littlejunk's last name was Slimp and Andrew Legustambos' original last name was Sapien.
The voice cast also includes Regina King in an unspecified role.[6] Comedian Maria Bamford was originally cast as Miracle Grohe but was later replaced by Chenoweth.
Important info: Created by Mitch Hurwitz, involved Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein, features the voices of Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Henry Winkler.
It premiers on Fox, Sunday April 19th!
With all of the discussion about an Arrested Development movie in the works, this might just hold some of us over for a bit.
Wow I used to watch that show when I was like 13. I thought it was great but it got canned pretty quick. I seem to remember a guy getting addicted to vicks vapour rub.

Was the original version actually any good? Getting canceled doesn't necessarily mean anything.
However, it also looks like the sort of show that's going to be canceled as quickly as possible. Look at it! It's everything that Fox loves to bankroll and then cancel after 4 episodes!
I wouldn't be surprised if it had, at most, 6 episodes air. All in different time slots.
Hmm not sure about this. Maybe they should hire some real voice actors?

Are you serious? Out of all of those actors, only Tom Kenny has any serious voice acting credits. I'm not knocking the fact that these guys are gonna be in the show, but doing a few episodes as a guest star on an animated series does not make you a voice actor.
Man, I thought (genuine) voice actors had the best set of life circumstances possible.
I was wrong and I feel like an asshole because this is not surprising in the least, but still disappointing.
God damn I feel bad for those guys. So much talent unused.
I'm sure they get work, but to see what you do and what you love turn to this must be so fucking painful, I have only the slightest idea.
From looking at the Wiki entry compared to that preview video, I'm disappointed that Maria Bamford got dropped from the cast. The Bammer has all sorts of cool voices.

The Tannenbaums are from Two and a Half Men.
Mo Willems (Sheep in the Big City) is responsible for the animation conceptualization and design work, so that's a plus.
I don't know. This could go either way depending on who has the most control over it.

What exactly is your point?
What the hell is Rararouille?
