Is there a way to delete a playlist worth of songs from an iPod without having to go through the iPod's contents manually?
Allow me to elaborate:
I've got a playlist on my 80gig iPod with a bunch of songs. I've recently renamed these same songs (as per my previous topic) on my desktop and would like to update the tracks on my iPod (as in get rid of the old tracks with the info on the iPod, and stick in the new ones) with the new info.
Problem is that deleted the tracks on the playlist itself don't actually remove them from the iPod. The only way I've found to do that is to go through the massive list under 'music' and delete them there, which takes forever as I have to cross reference the playlist contents with the 80 gig iPod library.
Sorry if my explanation is disjointed >_>
I'd love to be the one disappoint you when I don't fall down
I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to do, but if you updated song information on your computer, that should all automatically update on your iPod when you sync it with iTunes.
I manually sync it because iTunes can go lick a chode. It's already wiped my pod twice in the past and I'm dealing with 80 gigs worth of stuff here.
The playlists I've got set up are also from an old computer that is no longer with us, and as far as I know I can't import those(?). Turning the sync on at this point would be much more trouble than it's worth... not that I want to anyway >_>

Why don't you mass rename all of your songs that you want to delete to something that can be easily found; like all the artists set to the letter A; then when you go to your iPod's music library and sort it all by artist, those songs will be at the top for easy deleting?
Yes, Mass select, hit get info, agree to change info on multiple songs, and changes something not relevant to aaaa (composer or something) then search for aaaa in music and it should eb easily found.

If there's a legitimate way I'm still all ears.
