I really like Armchair Apro something or other. Plasticities is an awesome song. Noble Beast is pretty cool, much more, hmm, how should I put this, "eclectic" I guess. Something I can put on while I work I suppose, but not something I would prefer to hear on my morning drive to work.

I've only heard two songs of his. Both I got from my brother a long time ago and only discovered recently.

Actually, I only discovered one recently. Heretics. I love that song. The second song I discovered after hearing of him. That song was the first one posted. Fake Palindromes. And I know that video has nothing to do with the song and the song has nothing to do with the show, but forever and ever from now until the end of time I am going to associate Andrew Bird with Pushing Daisies.

I haven't listened to the rest of his stuff though I have it all. My brother gave me the whole lot. It's sitting on my HD waiting to be played. But so is a lot of other unlistened to music. So he'll wait his turn. But thanks to this thread I'll bump him up in the queue.

When I'm done with my current Röyksopp obsession. Which will be in a few months after Junior is out and gone. But then again when Senior comes out I'll be pulled right back in.

Andrew Bird played Fitz & Dizzyspells off of Noble Beast on Letterman a few weeks ago and really impressed the shit out of Dave and most of the audience. I only have Noble Beast and Armchair Apocrypha, but they're great albums front to back.

I was hoping to go see him at the Chicago Theater as I've heard great things about his live show, but there are so many bands playing in the next two weeks that I don't know if I'll be able to fit it in

haven't really listened to bon iver

    how is he(they?)

and I actually didn't know didn't know cursive had a new album out, thanks!

Bon Iver is pretty damn fantastic.

And the new Cursive album, Mama, I'm Swollen is fantastic. I love it. Opens with 'In The Now', which is a great hook. It's a lot more accessible than Happy Hollow. It's got more tracks that are great by themselves. And the last track, 'What Have I Done?', sorta reminds me of the way The Ugly Organ ends. It's got that same feel. Great, great album all around. Highly recommend it.

This reminds me. I was pleasantly surprised to find a copy of the deluxe release of the Arcade Fire's Neon Bible at Best Buy last week. I was pretty happy, because I didn't even see any deluxe editions around here when the album first came out.
