I have to wonder what rank the highest-ranked random player is. In theory, you'd have an advantage in the early game because your opponent would have less idea what build to aim for. It'd probably take way too much effort to get good at all three races, though, when you could spend that time perfecting a single one.

Is random even allowed in leagues still?

In the foreigner scene Testie is definitely the best random player, though race-picker might be the better term. Still, I think his strongest race was Protoss.

    Hwaesung Oz vs CJ Entus

    (P)Young <Colosseum II> (P)Movie
    (T)Lomo <Shades of Twilight> (T)Iris
    (Z)Jaedong <God's Garden> (Z)Orion

The format was 2x bo7 matches, the above results being from the second bo7 therefore tying everything up 1-1. A single bo1 ace match was played to decide the winner.
    (Z)Jaedong <Neo Medusa> (Z)EffOrt
Kind of sad to see CJ Entus come back so strong after getting destroyed in the first bo7 and then just lose it all in one game. The format is kinda weird, I think maybe a bo3 (with no player switching) would be better for an ace match. Oh well. JAAAAAEDONG.

    ESL finals Idra vs Ret
    http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=98631
Being played today, 11am EST. Format is 2x bo5. However, Idra is coming from the winner bracket so he only has to win one bo5 whereas Ret has to win both.

    Live stream
    http://tv.esl.eu/de/esltv_stream/

Previous results between these two players in the ESL tell us to expect some really fucking good (and close) matches:
    Idra 2-1 Ret
    Idra 3-2 Ret

Regarding Hwaesung Oz vs CJ Entus Ace Match
Insane ling micro by Jaedong. Totally ripped Effort apart. I'd have to say Jaedong is my favourite player, and he (along with sAviOr) has made me love Zerg.

Also, I encourage everyone to check out Klazart's commentaries, if you haven't already. He does a great job.

Yeah that was crazy. He lost like two zerglings to Effort's half dozen or so in that initial engagement.
e: Woops I was actually referring to the JD vs Effort game from the first bo7, but I'm sure he was just as good in that game haha.
Also, I encourage everyone to check out Klazart's commentaries, if you haven't already. He does a great job.
He's great if you find his stuff entertaining but take all his theorizing and advice with a grain of salt. He's not a very good player. I'd point you toward some good commentaries but outside of Artosis and Tasteless, there aren't many knowledgeable commentators out there. The TL youtube channel is one source though it's not updated often:
    http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=3F7E2969A105FD7A
It's more of a learning tool than commentary on Korean games though.

The TL user streams are pretty good if you want FPV games, and occasionally they provide some commentary.
    http://www.teamliquid.net/video/userstream.php
Any of the ones with the blue star beside them indicate a very good player. Lzgamer seems to stream pretty often, and Ret is another good one to look out for.

Today we announced that StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will not be ready for release by the end of 2009. Over the past couple of weeks, it has become clear that it will take longer than expected to prepare the new Battle.net for the launch of the game. The upgraded Battle.net is an integral part of the StarCraft II experience and will be an essential part of all of our games moving forward. This extra development time will be critical to help us realize our vision for the service.

Our mission is to develop games that deliver an epic entertainment experience. As part of that commitment, we will always take as much time as needed to ensure that our games and services meet the expectations of our players and the standard for quality that we set for ourselves as developers. As we work to make Battle.net the premier online gaming destination, we’ll also continue to polish and refine StarCraft II, and we look forward to delivering a real-time strategy gaming experience worthy of the series’ legacy in the first half of 2010.

We will share more details about the beta, Battle.net, and StarCraft II’s launch in the future. Keep an eye on the official website at http://www.starcraft2.com for updates, and as always, thank you for your continued enthusiasm and support for StarCraft II and all of Blizzard Entertainment’s games.

Highlander is going on right now (and has been for the past couple of hours)!

    The match-ups:

    Dinot (Z) vs. Horror (Z)
    Idra (T) vs. Xiaozi (Z)

Bo5, winners move on to Semifinal

    White-Ra (P) vs. Tarson (T)
    IefNaij (P) vs. Brat_OK (T)

    Same deal

    results:
    Dinot > Horror
    Idra > Xiaozi

Semifinal: Dinot > Idra, followed by Idra's typical ragequit/tantrum shenanigans

    White-Ra > Tarson
    Iefnaij > Brat_OK

There may or may not be a password recovery feature on iccup, but if there isn't, just register a new account at the website (you might have to do it for a new email address, don't remember). You can't create new accounts via the Starcraft bnet interface.

Then they played each other in the second day's ace match. Fantasy built a barracks in the middle of medusa and rushed Jaedong, winning the proleague.
