Will you get 10 freebies for each of the cities you champion, or just the first time? If it's each city, that would get you 50 in addition to the 5 per day.
Yeah, dunno if I care about that hippogryph enough to do it for fifty days straight (after I've already done it for over a month to get enough seals to get exalted, pet, land epic).
Well, on the plus side, the dailies that award champion's seals will also give you a choice between a bag containing 10g or a +250rep doodad, so you don't actually have to choose between stocking up champion's seals or getting rep- you can do both.
So, uh, I just checked WoWhead. And it turns out it is still only 5 champion's seals a day.
You get 10 instantly once you hit champion rank so after 1 day you'll have 15, but still... ouch.
Pacing mechanism is pacing?
It's like the Isle of Quel'danis!
Except instead of there being an actual reason why you can't just go do all your dailies on the first day, it's a way to force people to pace themselves to not get the hippogryph just so people don't power through their shitty new Dailies, get the only things they want, and then never look at that corner of Icecrown again.
Probably because they ran out of ideas to use for the protos. I think they hit all of the colors currently in game (if I recall correctly, the Argent Skytalons use the same art as the TLPD).
Plus, people were clamoring for the other colors of hippogryphs ever since they saw the other color combinations on MMO Champion back when the CE Hippogryph was datamined.
Makes sense.
Yeah, I want the white Undead Warhorse first too. Tired of riding on the same two colors since frigging release (seriously that Black Undead horse should have been a Warhorse - would've made more sense to have 3 and 3 than 4 normal and 2 epics).
I'm going with either the raptor or hawkstrider first myself. Both of them have incredible colorations.
And if you want to get all of the mounts, it's approximately 5 months of dailies with no interruptions.

You guys are all forgetting that the tournament is working in phases.
A more advanced phase may have more ways to earn seals.
Also: I think if you talk to Brann Bronzebeard you don't have to deal with towers.
We just decided to neke em because we, for sure, wanted the fight on ezmoade. but I'll bring it up iof we end up going again. (which we probably will if 10-man Naxx is still borked on Friday.)

I'm pretty sure the Argent Tournament ties into Icecrown Citadel later on. I don't support it, but I'm just saying', it's not a pointless exercise.
Also: more time and effort for the Flavor Content God.

Blizzard has learned a few things over the years.
The impression I got is that the next "phase" isn't coming until a future patch. Which could very well mean being stuck with 5 seals a day until, say, September.
It's entirely possible that the new shit they're going to add in to the tournament in 3.2 will let you get them faster, though.
I'm pretty sure this is the case. I think their intent is that you don't get very many of the rewards until after 3.2 hits.
Of course. Can't have people running around with vanity items and heroic level gear all willy nilly, the game would fall apart.
I think it's more so that people don't get the carrot right away and then complain to the stick that they have nothing to do. They used a much longer stick so that by the time we reach the carrot they've gotten another one up.
That was a weird analogy but I'm sticking with it.
Well, it's something different to do. I'm already bored of all the other faction dailies (and exalted with everything relevant except kalu'ak), so I might as well do it. YMMV.
I think having to do a set of dailies every single day for almost two months to get a particular rewards is a little excessive, especially given that it's to the total exclusion of the other rewards. It's not like you're working towards a point where you can just go and buy everything you want - if you want everything, you could conceivably be doing AT dailies forever.
well, in that respect, it would take you about 1/2 the time to reach exalted with Kalu'ak at 3 quests per day vs. the amount of time you would have to spend championing a faction for pets/mounts.
I understand wanting to make it difficult, or wanting to keep you in an area to check out new content, but really you can get exalted with any faction by doing their dailies in about 19-22 days.
About 10 months, actually, but I doubt anyone except the most hardcore of hardcore achievement fanatics or pet/mount collectors will bother with anything more than one or two mounts/pets/tabards and maybe a weapon for show. (The weapons might not be very good but they look pretty sweet)
I know I'm only getting the turbostrider, one or two of the vanity pets, all 5 tabards (I'm close to the achievement tabard you get for having 25 plus most of them look cool), and then maybe the exodar sword because it looks awesome and that's it.
I enjoy the argent tournament dailies at the moment. I will eventually grow to hate them. But for now it's a fun little side game. I find them more fun than grinding rep for anyone else....i have Kalu'ak exalted, and that was just retarded.
Apparently this whole dual spec talent bug isn't just for dual specs. I haven't ponied up yet on my rogue but that didn't stop me from losing Mutilate in the middle of a fight!
So...do I have to pay money to respec or what? I'm not sure what the remedy is here.
try resetting your UI by deleting those two folders (it's like the wtf and interface folders or the wtf/wdb folders or something), I've heard that may work

ed: awesome yet shitty totp
Unlike say ... you, Kwyn.
I still get drunk and yell at guildmates.

Stupid A/C pet collecting huntard...
It gets my lazy butt out of dalaran and finding saronite/titanium, at least.
Think of it as a Disarm, but for your talents. Oops there goes another one.
Also they took my extra 3k HP away. but! i was swapping presences last night and not losing HP. 30k in blood is pretty neato.
/ducks
Some people lose mana others lose talent points and have to go back in and redo them every other time they swap. ZOMG it's a double standard...
You shut your whore mouth.
It's like a 50% respec, every time I log in.
They should just make it like summoning a Doomguard, you have a 50/50 shot of dying but hey, you didn't have to go to a Lexicon.
