Computer won't see my second hard drive?

The title isn't exactly true, my computer sees that I have a second hard drive under the device manager, but, it refuses to show it under my computer, or let me interact with the hard drive in any sort of meaningful fashion.

The device usage box under properties for it is grayed out and it won't let me enable it, so...any help?

Is your HD new? Have you partitioned and formatted the drive?

Or was your computer seeing it before and now it's not?

Is it a brand new, unformatted drive? Have you tried computer management -> disk management, right click on the drive and choose format?

Ah, yeah, it's probably unformatted. I nuked both of the hard drives a bit back, so that's probably it.
