Old-ass cartoon, help me out

I'm trying to find a Youtube or article or whatever on this really old, trippy cartoon, possibly European or Canadian in style...where the only thing I can remember is where it's this never-ending picture-in-picture cycle for a really long time, then some kid goes "There, papa, there's the last dog" or something.

I really wish I could remember more.

Does anyone know what the hell I'm talking about :(

    On second thought, I'm not even sure it was a dog. I know it was an animal.
