Well if you FADC out of a move you can dodge or tech out a throw. It helps when you know you fucked up after you dash with boxer or something, because you can FADC out of the hit and go in for your own throw or tech theirs.

Congrats! You are playing the hardest character in the game. She has so many cancels and glitches that unless your execution is -very- good you will have trouble pulling off a lot of her moves.
And his ulta could have been all " Don't Evaaa do dat again" And his CoD combo could have been all "Bang, bang, bang" That would have been so clutch.
Oh yah, no way I'm using C. Viper as my main character. I was just unlocking Cammy (I just got the game). Unlocking Akuma is a bitch. Mostly because I really suck. I ALWAYS die on Seth. Even on Easiest ;_;.
Edit: yay, i figured out that if i use the dpad i can just tap down forward down forward all punches really quick and it'll work like a charm.

I'm trying to remember because it's been a while since I did it, but isn't the "no continues" requirement for unlocking Akuma and Gouken just up until Seth? So you can die on Seth, continue and still get them.
I don't think so. I had to get past Seth w/out dying to get to challenge Akuma and Gouken.
I finally killed the blue bastard by launching my ultra from across the screen in pure desperation, my health was at 1 and his was at 10% and the AI stupidly long-punched at the fireball as it crawled towards him.
This "official" guide to the Akuma/Gouken unlock says you can lose the Seth match for Akuma, but not for Gouken.
Hmmm. Strange. I could have sworn I did that (made it to Seth, he beat me, then I beat him) when I was going for Akuma and I didn't get to challenge him. Re-did it and beat him without him beating me and then was challenged by Akuma.
Oh well, I could be wrong.
If you can avoid being beaten, you're golden, at the very least.

to cancel a flash kick into super you do this
charge 1, 9+K 1 9+k

flash -> double flash is: Charge 1 -> 9k, 1, 9k
make sure you do the 9k19k really fast.

Once you knock the CPU down with Zangief you can infinitely repeat the spinning piledriver -> green hand loop for a guaranteed win.
SPD, as soon as you land do a jab green hand followed by a jab SPD (or heavier version if you're close enough). The SPD will be timed to grab the CPU immediately as he's standing up, and then just repeat until you win. That's basically how I finished up the hard survival challenges.
Similarly, in the challenges that give you unlimited ultra or super gauge you can pick Akuma and just do the raging demon over and over as the CPU tries to stand up. Hits 'em every time.
Weird, when I still used the 360 controller for HD Remix I found I could pull off moves more accurately but less fast with the stick. I preferred the analog stick since it would at least do what I was telling it to do.
For infinite Super Guage I prefer Gen's Mantis super, as it combos into itself and is damn satisfying.
