Amazon sold out of Home Premium in about 10 minutes. I can hear lots of clicking over in Ebay now...

Cheapest Pro is £80 over at Ebuyer.

[edit]Dixons has Home Premium for £44.99 with £5 shipping.

Hope the PS3 version works better than the PC version. Even after almost 2gb of patches the game was still a lag fest even over a lan.

    Hey there,

After accidently ordering The Lord Of The Rings Online (Compilation Pack) from play.com without knowing that it's out of stock, I now need to know where I can get a relatively cheap copy of this game elsewhere. Can you help me out? Please keep in mind I'm living in continantal Europe.

And I guess I could wait ages before play.com restocks this game, so I'm better off just canceling the order right?

No idea when Play get it in stock but Hmv.com, thehut.com and zavvi.co.uk have it in stock for around £25 (Postage: £1 you are in the EU for thehut and Zavvi. The site Hmv.com is £2.50 for Europe).

Ugh, I knew the offer was just too good to be true. Maybe I should try to get the games seperated then, I saw the base game is selling really cheap in some places, but I haven't seen good prices for the addon yet. I also don't want to lose out on the 30-days trial.

edit: The fuck? The game on play.com is now listed as beeing "in stock" again, uh? Good thing I didn't cancle the order yet, then.

This thread has been devoid of bargains whilst Lewie has been sunning it up at a festival.

As such, to bring things back on form, someone should find me an awesome price on a Wii Motion Plus add-on.

    (Pretty please).

Cheapest I can see is £15 at Play.com, can anyone beat that?

Hello there! I have a question for you all!

I'm wanting to get Anno 1404 on the PC, but really I could do with trading in something to bring down the price so I can afford it. I've seen it in HMV, and I know they do trade ins now... does anyone have any idea how much they give for Saints Row 2 on the PS3, or is there a site anywhere which lists the prices they offer???

    Thanks!

I'm guessing all of you who own Steam and use it at all regularly will already know this, but the majority of, if not all of, the THQ RTS games are half price. I got Dawn of War and two of its expansions for £8.49. Company of Heroes and Dawn of War II are also half price.

DS3s haven't ever been reasonably priced. Everyone wants to trade in their SIXAXIS for one, and so it means that there are very few preowned ones kicking around and it keeps the price high because they're so in demand. Reward points or some other deal are going to be the only way you can knock off a few quid.

Might have to suck it up and just buy one at full price then...

Are SIXAXIS' still in production? I'd just pick one of those up if they're a cheap alternative - my friends arn't worth paying for rumble :P

Get a second hand one. I think there's a problem with the batteries in the first-gen SIXAXIS controllers, though, and AFAIK there's no way of telling the older models.

Just bought a DualShock in the end, SIXAXIS were going for about £25 on eBay, so I thought I might as well pay the extra tenner for rumble, no battery hassle and knowledge that I've not had some guy sweating on it.

Cheers for the help though! :)

I'll admit that defrauding GAME would taste extremely sweet, but sadly 1) I'm pretty sure they'll catch this error before sending anything out, and 2) GAME has actually blacklisted my address because 2 parcels they sent to me 'mysteriously' failed to show up. Never mind that I've been ordering from Amazon, Play, Shopto, HMV and the like for years and years, never with a single problem - oh no, I live at an 'unsafe' address. A semi-detached in West London.

I'm generally in favour of never giving them more money, ever, but it does mean I miss out on the occasional nice deal. Shame.

Gamestation has started a weird sale where new and used are both getting price drops, some big some small. The street fighter arcade sticks for instance have lost £15 on 360 and £25 I believe on PS3 and Rock Band in the Box is 65 from 90.

Current one has rrod'd on me, is outta warranty, and is currently in pieces in my spare room after my attempts to fix it failed miserably.

Thanks, I was kinda on the fence about this game. I love batman but it feels super console-retarded. But at this price I might even make some money when I shove it back on ebay.

    Why so negative?

The demo was extremely enjoyable for the brief time it lasted, and I'll honestly admit the characters and setting make it my most anticipated game until the winter period. What's more, it's actually a really good pc conversion (although the PhsyX stuff is annoying) - it feels about as 'console-retarded' as Splinter Cell and Mass Effect did.

Anyway, I jumped on this, so many thanks to Lewie!

Basically the entire game feels like it's press A to mash face, and that's it. I hope the full game will offer something more or at least a good story. But the demo didn't feel like it did a lot to really show what the game has to offer.

    Mass Effect felt extremely console-retarded.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned that it was a poor demo, and for a game that seems to be press A to win, I really don't think I need much training. They should have included something else, especially with a 2gb download.
