Yeah, ebuyer have always treated me right with returns and refunds; first they took back a motherboard that was incompatible with the processor I bought, then they took back its replacement without quibble after I effectively broke it - was confirmed as 'defective on arrival' by their claims people the day they got it and the replacement was dispatched the day after.
My only problem with ebuyer has been their insistence on Citylink as their delivery company, but then Citylink have been getting better lately too.
Citylinks awfulness makes me cough up blood with rage. They promice time and time again what day, what time etc. EVERY time I am on the phone to them asking where the hell my package has got to :?
Ah well, rant over. But yeah to add to this, Ebuyer are sound for me. Any issues arrise and they sort it out quick as lightning.
Citylink tend to give things to my neigbours then not let me know they've gone there. Not that my neighbours are thieves or anything but we work completely different times and never bump in to each other.
Also, completely off topic but is anyone here heading to Leeds Festival next week?
Back on topic, apparently Argos are doing Rock Band 1 + Guitar for £9.99. Or maybe it's just the guitar, I saw it on HTUKD before. Just for the one or two people out there who don't already have enough plastic guitars.

Citylink left something with my neighbour, but left a card saying go and pick it up at their depot. Which was about 2 hours away.
By "Sold out" they probably mean "Oh shit, we are making a loss on these, which idiot is responsible for letting the 10% off coupon work with consoles? You're fired."

Hopefully it means sold out, Id love for this thing to just take off. And if the audiences get bigger might help bring stuff like Way of the Samurai 3 over.
Yowzer, noone can complain about that, get it and get infamous you cheap bastards. ITs more expensive than that to get one preowned.
Yeah but then you've got a regular ol' fat PS3 and everything thinks you're some kind of sucker bitch. I'm waiting 10 years for the PS3 slim to be £100 and then I'm pouncing on that shit like a lion so I can get my Level 5, White Knight Chronicles on.
anyone know where to buy a red DS lite for cheapness?

A while ago there was a link to microsoft points from shopto which just emailed you the code. Anybody else got any good deals on those? I think I need to buy Shadow Complex.

The Hut actually have a cheaper deal for points if you don't mind waiting for the physical card, which Lewie rang me to post earlier and I still haven't done. Use the code BANK10.

So are there any deals on Metroid Prime Trilogy? Cheapest I can find is 35 quid, which is still a bit more than I'm willing to pay for a package that I largely already own.
In partnership with VISA, from now until September 6th, all in-stock items except those that have been released during the last 30 days, are discounted by 20%. Please be reminded that this is a VISA exclusive promotion, only valid for orders paid with your VISA card directly at Play-Asia.com. Make sure to watch out for the 20% off discount logo on the final payment page.
So I'm feeling tempted to get hold of a copy of Windows 7 when it's released. I'm currently on Vista Business edition.
What's the cheapest I can buy a copy of Windows 7 Professional?
Also, I've heard mixed information about whether or not the European / UK market is getting "upgrade" versions (which means it basically upgrades a copy of Vista to its equivalent W7 type, which in my case would be Vista Business to W7 Professional). The idea behind upgrade versions is that they're supposed to be cheaper since you're upgrading from a previous version of windows that you already bought.
I've read from tech websites that it's not available, yet glancing at Amazon UK the upgrade version IS available on there, and priced more expensively than the stand-alone version for some bizarre reason. Can anyone give me an insight into this? Would an upgrade version even be allowed to run assuming I got one?

Is there any particular reason you need Business/Windows 7 Professional? The home premium version is damn cheap at the moment.
Alternatively, if you're a student, you might want to wait and see if there's a good student offer later in September with Microsoft's student deals.
They resurfaced as an online only store in March of this year, but they're now owned by The Hut, who run online stock for Asda, Tesco, sendit et al. They aren't too bad price wise and they sometimes have some good "Mega Monday" deals on games. I wouldn't rate their delivery speed or their packaging of items, though.

Yeah, the websites and (broadly) pricing of Zavvi and The Hut are identical barring colour scheme. I'm in a total quandry with them regarding Batman: Arkham Asylum for the PC - I preordered it back when it was £18 (and got a further 10% off, making it £16) and they still haven't shipped it. However I don't know if I can face cancelling it, paying £10 more getting it from elsewhere and then inevitably learning it's back in stock at Zavvi a couple of days later.

Hmm - then Zavvi's in even more disarray than I thought! The original pre-order said the 28th August, the order still says it should have been shipped on the 28th August, and Zavvi's sent at least 2 emails apologising for the difficulties in 'Sourcing this item from our supplier'. But I've checked and you are indeed right - curious.

Shipping is pretty expensive, but still cheaper than what I could find before. Anybody have any experience with the speed of their European shipping?

Why would you go for Home when Pro and Ultimate are free too?
I know the home edition is cheap, but I kinda need the XP compatibility as well.
And no, not a student.
