So I just got fired
no reason given
there is a reason though
it's because I got offered to do freelancing for an awesome company, told my company, they said no, told them i'd quit if they didn't let me, and their answer was to fire me
so now i don't have a job
so, qmark and drian, i can do your commission now
and everyone else, find me a job/comfort me
edit: then i got a message from my old agent to get me some more work
and then after that i got a message from my old boss at the bar to give me some awesome event shifts
all of this happened in like an hour
sometimes being me is pretty awesome.

Also, saying you'll quit may not have been a brilliant negotiating technique at this particular time, but I suppose hindsight is 20/20 at all that. But at least you get freelance work, right? Look on the bright side. And since they fired you, you should get severance, right? Much better than if you had just quit.
Wasn't it dumb of them to fire you though? I mean if you had followed through on quitting then they wouldn't have to compensate you, right?
