    so i have found that

[spoiler:6941d25186]the easiest way to beat the cave of ordeals is to use the ball and chain, which also happens to be my favorite item. I mean how can you not love this item. I beat it last night, i ended up going through most of it with only using the angel tiers, but near the end I ended up using my 2 fairies as well. The ball and chain makes it so easy to defeat many of the levels as all you have to do is swing it around yourself and watch the enemies walk right into it. It was especially useful against the jelly enemies who constantly split.[/spoiler:6941d25186]

[spoiler:6941d25186]Ball and chain and BOOMERANG love! I honestly forgot about it till my boyfriend pointed it out... use it in the rooms where there are keese in advance of jumping down, and you can clear up a whole lot of the annoyances.

I used two blue potions, didn't use the magic armor, got to the bottom no problem... and taking some idiot hits, too.[/spoiler:6941d25186]

[spoiler:6941d25186]the fights that hurt me the most: iron knuckle + 2 dragons, 3 iron knuckles, ice dragon heads with those fucking icicle warriors with ice spears. They kept interuppting my ball and chain attacks. I also used the hook shot and arrows to kill some monsters before hand, I too never used the magic armor either (I was there to get money as well)[/spoiler:6941d25186]

[spoiler:57d16bfe0a]No, other than the wolf howling there isn't really any Ocarina songs, and i don't recall hearing the Song of Storms.

The problem I kept having was that I had the max amount of money, almost all of the time. There were just so many rupee chests, that i coulldn't open them. This led to too many chests, and not being able to sort out the big key/other useful ones.

With the MA it's a cake walk, but up until then i was hurting for reasons to spend my money.

Cave of Ordeals is pretty hard.

I went in there with however many hearts it takes to have four or five on the second row. I also had the Magic Armor, two fairies, and one fairy tears. I didn't use the MA at all for most of it because I went in with 0 rupees, but had 400ish by the time I was out of healing/fairies and low on health.

And then I scouted a room in wolf form and got hit with two fire arrows at the same time before I had a chance to put on my MA again. :(
