    Truth.

Agreed. The rain, music, etc. was perfect here.
    Bullshit.

That music was beyond perfect. I think it was my favourite scoring in any video game, ever- it was just so, so, so right.

And I will throw my hat in with the gentlemen who were touched by that part. The game isn't necessarily pulling my strings all the time, I don't expect it to, but man, even just for that small amount of time, I was worried about her.

Well I just beat the game last night with everything but about 10 poes at about 60 hours. I would have to say that this was one of the best games of all time, I loved pretty much everythign about it, now I must resume the horrible state that is waiting for more zelda.

also, I dont mean to bitch, but I'm going to anyway: how the hell does fucking Daxter get a 9.1 and this get an 8.8?

I am so ready to write the most fanboyish review about this game. I've been playing the GameCube version for a week, and my Wii came today so I'm about to start that. I'm absolutely in love, and not the "everything you do is perfect" love, the love where you embrace its flaws and want to help it improve, but love it unconditionally all the way. It's truly the best game I've ever played, and while I can nitpick the hell out of it (a list which will mention sound), I just couldn't care. This is everything I've wanted since playing Ocarina of Time.

Y'know what made Twilight Princess better than any other Zelda? The gameplay.

Story is great and all, but you all seem to forget that you're playing a game rather than solely being told a story. Narrative is an important part of the game, and Twilight Princess did deliver here, but you're all just giving it too much weight.

I think Wind Waker had a better story but mostly the backstory and late in the game. The whole rescuing your sister and the other girls part was pretty lame.

The story of the Triforce is getting boring. Link saves Hyrule, oh noes ganon's after the triforce, hooray we beat him now let's go home. Personally, I think the story would have been better without Ganon in it at all.[/spoiler:cb137625be]

If anything, I'd say WW "feels" more like a side-game between the two. And I have no idea why I spoilered this.[/spoiler:cb137625be]

[realspoiler:cb137625be]In terms of Ganon's absence from the story--I wouldn't go that far, but I definitely would have liked to see at least a diminished role. Like, you fight Zant, and then go fight Ganon--like usual--but Zant re-emerges after it turns out that he'd sapped Ganon out of much of his power while he was too preoccupied with getting back into the light realm, making Ganondorf's defeat sink into the background while you have to deal with some super-charged Zant. Who knows, maybe Zant could've gone as far as stealing the Triforce of Power itself. That's something I would've enjoyed a lot more instead, especially since it would have justified how miserably easy all of Ganon's forms are.

I know a lot of people disliked Zant by that final confrontation (even though I liked it--felt like a big throwback to Majora's Incarnation, not Kefka like everyone keeps claiming), but I'm just tired of Ganon getting all these damn puppets. He's had Agahnim, he's had Vaati, he had both the fucking villains of the Oracle games--I want him to be the puppet for once. It'll probably be impossible for his portrayal to be done as well as in Wind Waker anyway, so they should give someone else that spotlight for a change--for real this time.[/realspoiler:cb137625be]

[realspoiler:4b81c2c616] I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice parallels between Majora's Incarnation and Zant. I was kind of dissapointed, even though the fight itself was really fun. Everything that came before had shown Zant as this huge, unbelievable hard-ass who was actually competent and capable of destroying Hyrule. Then it turns out he's just an emo freak who's mind has completely snapped. Still, his religious fanaticism and worship of his "God" was a nice touch.

And he died real nice too.[/realspoiler:4b81c2c616]

They're all lit. I need a key to get this last dude.

One treasure chest is hanging by a thread (literally) and another is behind these stairs which I *assume* will go down when I estinguish the flames.

Setting the other two on fire just completes the staircase. Basically, I'm missing a key.

[realspoiler:c8e3d85260] When you get to Hyrule Castle and it automatically starts raining, and then turns into a thunderstorm as you climb the tower, I was so sure that this was the Goddesses beginning their great flood, and oh shit I would get to the top and enter a balcony and look out and OMG everything would be flooded.

    Yes, I am dumb.[/realspoiler:c8e3d85260]

Man, after seeing the 4th dungeon boss, the 5th boss is a huge let down for me at least.

Here's to hoping the bosses pick back up.

I loved the entire sixth dungeon, but some people didn't.
    The miniboss was awesometastic.
Hell yeah he was. I liked that dungeon except for the fact that [spoiler:bf7b3579d7]The game doesn't tell you to press the Dom. Rod button again to make your statue take a swing.[/spoiler:bf7b3579d7]
Other than that, it was golden.

It does in the item help. Open the - menu and press up on the cross pad.
Yeah but who reads the item help? It's like reading an instruction manual, you just don't do it man.

[spoiler:bf7b3579d7]I was blowing up the enemies in that room with bomb arrows to open the gate. Except that didn't work so then I took one of the pots you can control and tried to move it around to find the switch. I finally figured out you can take swings with the thing.

Speaking of item help, the Ball & Chain's should say "to cause massive damage" instead of "to cause serious damage"[/spoiler:bf7b3579d7]

Oh God, that would have been the greatest thing ever.

Now I'm sad that that didn't happen

I thought the same thing was going to happen too. [spoiler:0d78d03104]You can even talk to a cat while going back to the Castle (not the cat from the bar) and he talks about how he hates the rain because it's such a bad omen.[/spoiler:0d78d03104]
