So, I finally died for the first time in my four-heart playthrough. Touche, dungeon 5 miniboss.
That's the only thing that's killed me, too.

Anyone know if there's a way of killing those huge Baba plants without bombs? I'm in Dungeon 7 and I can't be arsed walking all the way back to the start to get some

How'd you run out of bombs? Well it doesnt matter, you dont have to kill it, just ignore it and clawshot.

YES, finally beat the Cave of Ordeals last night.
[spoiler:300ea3023c]The first time I went through, I originally though I didn't prepare well, but it turns out my strategy was just bad. I stocked up on everything before going in this second time (Three full bomb bags, 100 arrows, 3 blue potions and a fairy's tears, etc). However, I took my time before just diving into each room and figured out a strategy before going in, and I did much better. The two things that saved me the most hearts were 1) using the jump-strike on redeads, and 2) using bomb arrows way more than the first time. Using bomb arrows especially made the most difference I think. Being able to keep my distance from darknuts and plunk off their armor from afar was quite useful, and taking out the frozen spear-throwing guys with bomb arrows from above was way easier than diving in to do it by hand.
Once I finished up the last room with 3 darknuts, I actually still had a blue potion, my fairy's tears, and about half my hearts left. I probably could've gone another ten rooms if it weren't for the fact that I used up all my bombs and arrows. I'm thinking about going through it again just to say that I did.
Very tough, but I definitely felt like I accomplished something by beating it.[/spoiler:300ea3023c]

I only have one bomb bag, and I had those awkward crawly bombs in it. That dungeon had some pretty hefty backtracking sections, only because I screwed up, but my god what a boss. I've kinda stumbled into Dungeon 8 without realising it. It seems short, so I'll do it and then go to bed. I'm only 30 hours in, can't believe I've gotten so far
The eighth dungeon is, or at least seems, pretty short (I'm close to the end). Seven was a monster though, and a bitch and a half toward the end. Like you said, the boss was great. Probably my fave so far.
[spoiler:8fae5443b7]It's taking all my willpower to go to bed now rather than finish the game...[/spoiler:8fae5443b7]
Do it. You've got two hours left, tops.
Yeah, you're just going to end up waking up in a cold sweat screaming about the Triforce and monsters and beating the game and then you'll turn to the Wii and it'll be glowing.

I booted up Wind Waker on the Wii yesterday just to see how it holds up to Twilight Princess. Going back to a "standard" controller feels terrible, why do I have to keep my hands this close?
At any rate, Wind Waker gives me this feeling Twilight Princess doesn't. Sure, TP was bigger, had more dungeons, was more serious and all that, but there's just something about WW that makes it so good.
I'm starting to wonder whether I like WW more than TP simply because of story.

Also, dynamic music. WHY ARE YOU NOT IN TP?!
also, another thing I miss from WW is picking up dropped weapons from defeated enemies.

I'm having trouble getting one of the [spoiler:5fc198ea57]secret arts[/spoiler:5fc198ea57]. I see where to go on the map, but I can't figure out how to get there.
It's near lake Hyrule, but at the TOP of a waterfall. For the life of me I can't see any way to get up there.

Beat Cave or Ordeals. That wasn't too hard, actually.[spoiler:be0c37da71]I brought in Tears, sparkling jelly and two blue potions, and only had to use the potions. I even killed the last two Darknuts with full hearts. Preparation and you guys' tips seriously helped.
One thing I still can't get down is how to use the shield bash properly. I can do it fine, but the only enemies that seem to be affected are too weak to bother with it. Darknuts and Dinolfos never get stunned, and I don't like to be that close to them.
Overall, I found it easier in terms of outright difficulty than Wind Waker's Savage Labyrinth. However, you had the grappling hook in WW, which made it much easier to stay healthy.[/spoiler:be0c37da71]Almost done! Just a few more heart pieces and bugs left (I'm not going to worry about poes). I wish there was some kind of obsessive Nintendo-Gallery-esque thing here.

Wow, do the [spoiler:24b0cda1d4]mortal draw[/spoiler:24b0cda1d4] then put away your sword with A. Awesome finisher.
You can do that move anytime. Just put away your sword as the bad guy blows up into smoke.
Unless there is a different animation I'm unaware of.
It only worked for me if I hit A right after dealing the deathblow on an enemy.
I think some of it may also be the type of enemy you just killed. I know I accidentally do it almost all the time when I kill the lizard monsters, but I actually have to try and time it for most other bad guys.
