3 d-cannons against tac squad, then just chain use singularity on each d-cannon in turn.
Minced Tac Squad Spam!
D-cannons are definitely effective against tacspam, but the problem is getting to T3, spending 1200/120 req/power on D-cannons, and taking that tac blob out- especially lining those singularities up in such a way that the tac squads don't retreat after the first D-cannon blast and escape. Once they know what you're up to, expect to eat a shotgun scout or two to disrupt the cannons and then have that tac-blob steamroll you while the apoth pops advanced healing to fix up any tacs that were injured by errant cannon blasts.
edit: a decent way to line up d-cannon blasts like this is WSE's phase armor if you're feeling brave- I've seen it used to brilliant effect in replays before, but I just can't seem to pull it off frequently enough.
Oh shit, a big melee blob headed this way! A perfect chance to use anti-grav grenade!
*Grav-gren issue ordered, cooldown starts, WSE starts his homotastic animation*
And then the chain knockdowns begin, the cooldown is still used, no grenade is thrown, but after a metric assload of knockdowns, out of the middle of this melee mob, I see my grenade fly out and land in the middle of nowhere.
I guess I should be thankful that it didn't just waste the energy and cooldown and that he was just so determined to throw that grenade that in the midst of getting agonizingly raped his only thought was "I must throw this grenade."
Of course, most of you stopped reading at "WSE" anyway.
the other thing:
This one was even in my favor and I found it to be BS.
in-house gimmicky 3v3 last night, eldar v orks, I throw down an eldrich storm and the ork does a select-all+retreat move really quickly. The BS part is that instead of retreating, they all just bunched up right where I called down the storm. Some of these orks actually went out of their way to get into the middle of this thing. I don't know what happened there, but shenanigans were called.
I'm also embarassed to admit I had no idea that it was free to switch between wargear of the same category/slot you already bought
This is a huge problem with knockdowns and all grenades. It's very easy to notice with the WSE as he tends to be up in peoples grill with his grenade, acting as a shifting barrier between you and the other guy's army. I can't tell you how many guardian squads have been maimed/lost because a warrior knocked down the guy throwing a grenade, he was killed before he got back up, and then another guy ran forward to throw it instead, into more pounces.
For those of you having trouble mastering the timing with WSE phase shift timed with an eldritch, a good tip here is that if you retreat the WSE, you will break a phase shift immediately. If you're not confident in your natural timing, wait until the eye of the storm appears, and then retreat. Break the effect and watch the might of the eldar rain down on it's foes.
I just wrote up some abbreviated patch notes, they'll be posted on our Blog and forums like in a few minutes. More detailed patch notes will be released on patch day, with more details for people who like details, but that's a minor detail.
But, just to share the love, I'll leave you with a world-exclusive (for the next few minutes) teaser:

Awesome.
On a slightly unrelated note, I remember Eurogamer had 600 of each (?) pre-order promotion key and threatened to give them out in a show-up-and-get-them contest, but had to stop because one of the chains that was doing the pre-orders felt it was a conflict of interest. Is there any word on whether they're going to be allowed to ever do that giveaway or is that it for keys for extra icons/etc. now (barring any plans to release them as DLC later)?
You know, we're a regular studio, we put our pants on one leg at a time.
The only difference is, once our pants are on, we post patch notes slowly.
speak for your self.
I'm not wearing pants
...I am wearing pants. Please don't go to HR.
Somehow, I picture Croak running halfway across the building to your office (or cubicle, but let's be optmistic ), cell-phone camera in hand, ready to call you on that...

I was only half kidding about that concrete..I don't know anyone named Jimmy or Guiseppe...but those other two mooks, they're never too busy to help me out.

New 3v3 map coming with the next patch.
Knowledge is power... hide it well.
It's "guard it well."
God, don't you people know anything?
And sorry, Croak, I don't think I can work up any fear about Canadians no matter how Italian their names.
Speaking of which, they need to add more memorable quotes for units in DoW2. They have neither the good quotes of DoW or the emotive interaction with the player CoH had. It's a lot more boring.
The one things I ever remember are "Their salvo is like a thunderstorm!" and "Show me what passes for fury amongst your misbegotten kind!" because they get yelled constantly.
DoW 1 voices grated on my nerves, however DoW2 voices have never bothered me.
This probably has more to do with the fact that you don't get a spam of "hello" messages when you're microing though. The voice spam has been very well managed in DoW2 to make sure you don't get a bunch of overlapping nonsense.
All in all though I think DoW does a great job and I favor it over the first. Some places are little weak though, like the seer council. I think it's just all the guardian voices through a filter or something.
I do miss the Big Mek's voice files. He was probably my favorite unit in DoW1.
God the lines from that game were amazing. No offense to the dow2 people but I think you need to up your game a bit. :P
FOR THE IMPERIUM OF MAN!
DoW2 has some good quotes, the thing is that a lot of them are very specific, like X commander revives Y commander, or X unit does a sync kill on Y commander, things like that.

oh man!
that is great news!
can't wait to see the rest of the patch notes!

Or maybe they're not up yet. Who knows?
and the only prescription,
is more patch notes!

I must be in the wrong industry.
Oh ho! I see what you did there!
Also, me love you long time.
Cobalance, or Balode..:)
Technically, it'll be two patches, 1.2.0 (code) and 1.2.1 (data), but delivered at the same time, good lord willin' and the creek don't rise.
Well, gosh, Croak, we know how that will end, then.

Enjoy
That looks like Soulstorm and is invalid for anything on account of it being Soulstorm.

I can't get it out of my head!
"I am the Emperor's will made manifest."
that's a good one
Same
makes me realize how huge DoW 1 was.

Edit:
Chaos Space Marine Squad's Aspiring Champion. He was just soon awesomely insane:
"Enemies! We. need. ENEMIES!"
"Sanity... is for the weak!"
"DO YOU HEAR THE VOCIES TOO?!?!"
