when it's done is the opposite end of the spectrum. How about we meet each other somewhere in the middle?
give us a timeframe that you can hit. You say "sometime in the next two weeks"? Fine!
We were shooting for Monday, that didn't happen, I said Wednesday would be the earliest possible date, and we're hoping to deliver on Thursday. 4 day window there, a bit tighter than two weeks.
You seem to be missing my point.
Giving precise dates and missing them doesn't instill faith in your peons.
Instead, all you do is strengthen the notion that you're incompetent.
I'm really wanting to like you croak, but you're making it rather difficult.
If only you had the mind warping powers of your avatar!

The alternative is indeed blowing smoke up asses. And while I smoke, I don't think I'd like that particular taste.
Personally, I'd rather be off by a few days from time to time, rather than give some nebulous prognostication just so my ass is covered, and leaving your ass smoke-filled.
but being vague and procrastinatory is exactly what public figure heads are required to do!
you don't give precise information, because you'll be held accountable even IF you fulfill your promises!
It just dawned on me that this discussion is pointless.
I would go back to asking about your opinion on carnifexes being repairable, but you'll probably just ignore that. again.

If you can't take the heat, you shouldn't be in the kitchen...and I'm not a public figurehead, I work for a living.
One thing I do NOT do, ever, is debate specific balance issues in public forums, that way lies madness.

I'm not wanting to debate balance. I'd settle for knowing whether it's intentional.
Nothing like making an army suitable enough to destroy AG Warrior spam, only to have the Tyranid player come back with 2 VC Carnifexes... Patch. Must. Come. Soon.

Bloop bloop carnies sure like taking rockets up the ass.
Also I was thinking about stormboyz today and how they could be improved. I don't think a knockdown on landing would be fair only because orks are so melee heavy. It would be a huge problem to use them as a knockdown unit so you could more easily slaughter things in melee. With Assualt marines, they are generally only one unit of them (not always, but still) so their knockdown doesn't immediately lead to rape by a melee swarm (unlike tyranid warriors with adrenal glands).
I think allowing stormboys to jump twice in a row would be fair, but make it take their whole energy bar so they can't abuse it. They would have to wait until their energy is full again to double jump.
They are still fragile, but would be perfect for hit and run as I believe they were designed to be, while the other boyz get stuck in.
First you want a reach around... and now you want us to ride you? Wow.
Enjoy the trip. I know you want to head South for warmer weather, but I have spent some time in Montana and I would highly suggest riding around the Grand Tetons. It is fucking amazing.

Stormboys don't have energy, they use your Waaagh!/Zeal/Psychic Power/Biomass resourse...
All ork special abilites do, except for the all the commanders' abilities, along with the Kommando squad's steath and grenades, and even then the Kommando squad has a Waaagh! ability as well.

How about you stop harassing the nice person who's giving us any info at all? I'd much prefer to have vague and not really certain dates, than you know, nothing.

Just a quick aside, but isn't the knockdown effect confirmed in the manual?

Quit being a douche.
how about you fuck off and stop telling others how to behave.
And speaking of information:
most developers tend to release patch notes prior to or on the same day as the release. From what has been mentioned by croak it would appear that we'll be getting the full list a full week later.
how about you fuck off and stop telling others how to behave.
Isn't that telling people how to behave?
WHOOOAAAAAAAA
Seriously though, the guy's not gaining anything by coming here and having discourse with the players other than a great big wad of disrespect. Try and play nice.

There are a few exceptions to the rule, Kommandos and Stormboyz being the only ones I can think of.
Using their suicidal ability for the explosion+knockback actually costs waaagh! resource (insult to injury here...), but their jump costs 50 energy. It's a bit pointless currently. The cooldown on jump is like 30 seconds, so a stormboy actually has no way to deplete his energy. He can't jump enough to outweigh his energy regeneration.
Such a surplus could be useful against energy draining heroes. I guess I'll never learn until I actually fight with stormboyz though.
Just a quick aside, but isn't the knockdown effect confirmed in the manual?
Heh, you said manual.

Hmm, so it is!
And I'm going to disagree with you on your last point. Most if not all posters have expressed their fondness of the game. Furthermore I doubt people would really whine if they didn't care.
edit:
@zen: you forgot the "ly" at the end of seriously.
And evil, that huge patch list that is coming a week later is for a later patch. You know, we already have the small list and they're going to post the final one when they release the patch? Maybe if you want to be a jerkoff you could try pulling your head out of your ass and at least be good at being a jerkoff.

whining is one thing, purposefully insulting someone who comes here in their free time and gives us info that is in no way required to is just shitting in the thread.
Probably when they figure out how to make Chaos not just Space Marines with spikey bits?
PS: You know you've crossed the line when even Goomba won't stand for your douchebaggery. That's impressive.
Daemons requiring a "summoning" mechanic/pool, Dreds that randomly and uncontrollably rampage, and cultist cannon fodder. Other than that, Chaos Marines really are just Space marines with spikey bits
Next question? :P
EDIT: Joanna was a freebirth bitch and Marthe was a backstabbing whore worthy of the renegade caste.

right, but who is the 'they' in your post, and who told you, and why didn't "they" want to?
Cake said it. Pretty sure he was joking but meh figured I'd go play a different game anyway.
