It's Guitar Hero Metallica week! For those interested in shred and Expert+ dual-pedal drumming.
Otherwise, the
NDS and
Wii get
2k Sport's new boxing game,
Don King Boxing. NDS also gets
Tokyo Beat Down, some kind of
Atlus beat'em up or something.
NDS also gets
Gardening Mama, the Gardening version of Cooking Mama.
PC might be getting
Braid this week; last I heard Mr. Blow was having trouble with some glitch causing delays.
PC and 360 get the latest
Leisure Suit Larry game. Presumably digital distro.
PSN is getting Burn Zombie Burn which sounds like awesome. But that's all I know.

But consequences could be dire. Lessons may be learned but the damage is irreversible.
And I just saw on IGN than GH:Metallica won't be released in Australia until atleast May Is the 2nd kick-pedal available as a stand-alone product? might import them both from the US, if that's the case.
There is something utterly beautiful and captivating about this game. I've completed it, I know the story and read all the discussions and analysis, but then was compelled to sit and watch and take it all in again when my girlfriend played through it. Such a good game.
Comes out on the 14th
dunno why

Excellent, I was worried it didn't exist.
Is it any good, is the question

Only 2 reviews so far. One decent and one meh.
Here's Atlus's press release:
Here's a snip of the two reviews:
GamePro 4/5
Nintendo Power 6/10
Sounds like it might be shallow on the combat side, but I dunno, might wait a bit to hear from other reviews. The variety of stuff you can grab as well as the humor, multiple characters, and presentation sound good though. Might be okay.

They said when they announced it was coming to Steam.

Also I'm glad nothing worth picking up comes out this week. I could use a break from adding more stuff to the queue.
I have no idea. All I know is that it's been getting pushed around, so I put a '?' next to it.

yeah, because everyone was freaking the fuck out when he said "Hey guys, its been delayed 10 days, expect it on AUGUST TENTH". Everyone of course freaked out and went "but that's four months...." Turns out it was a typo.
Tokyo Beat Down seems intriguing, but I'm long past my days of buying Atlus games solely because the concept sounds awesome and the PR is pitch-perfect. It sounds like a $20 buy for me, so I'll wait for a while, and I have a ton of stuff I'm backlogging through anyway. I will pick up Super Punch-Out when it hits the VC, though.
And I can't say enough how awesome Braid was; if you haven't played it yet, you should seriously consider it. If you're remotely interested in pushing forward gaming as a medium and like experimental experiences, it's a no-brainer. Even if you don't give a shit about games-as-fart and just like puzzle games, it's inventive enough that it might be worth your time, and there are some hidden aspects to the game that force you to solve some really intricate puzzles. Note that it's not really a platformer; it's really a puzzle game that looks like one.

The Dishwasher is this week's awesome XBLA game.
holyyyy shit it's soooo bad.
it's like, go play fight night round 3, they did it right 3 fucking years ago.
Also, the demo for Dishwasher was pretty horrible. I may pick up GH: Metallica when it hits $40.
Oh you are the worst.
The art is a little melodramatic, but once I got the teleporting blade I had so much fun I completely forgot about everything else. The actual combat was slick as hell. Also, as a Rock Band fan you might be more excited about the full version:
I...
FUCK that is fucking AWESOME, more non-music games need to use the guitar peripheral.
Yup.
Also, where's the excitement for DDR Disney!?
BE A MAN (song may or may not be in the game)
Oh, and Braid on Steam? It comes out April 10th
On the PS1.
Seriously, it had Night of Fire, It's A Small World [Ducking Hardcore Mix], and some other good tracks.
I think it's something of a rarity now.
I haven't bought a DDR game since Extreme 1, and that was only because it had Somnambulist on it.
Anyone know anything about this? I'm curious as to whether it will suck, blow, or suck AND blow. And not in the good way.
