It'll actually be my first digital camera actually. Why by Friday? Cause on Saturday I'm leaving to Houston for Wrestlemania, and I really want it for that.
I have no idea how much to pay for one, so I'm hoping you guys can help me out. I'm willing to spend up to 200-250 if it's actually worth it. Looking for a camera with nice zoom (I imagine we'll be 50-75 yards from the ring), portable and with a good battery life (Wrestlemania is 4 hours alone.)
What? Not only have I never seen one for sale used, ever, but it's a 7 year old DSLR. In DSLR years, this camera is older than Moses. Even if he got one for $200, which is about what that camera's worth, you can't get any lens for under $50, nevermind a good one.
Kyougu, go to the store. Go to the Canon point and shoot section. Select the Canon A-series camera that matches your budget most perfectly. If you want to buy used, do the same thing but in the local classifieds. Be aware that most people think their cameras are worth far, far more than what their real value is.
Your chances of getting any usable shots from that far away in a relatively poorly lit arena with a cheap point and shoot are approaching nil, but you'll have a very nice digital camera for outdoor events.

The OP clearly isn't in the market for a DSLR.
