My character has a mild to strong antipathy toward bugbears... He would totally cross the street to avoid having to walk alongside one. One of them once looked funny at his uncle. Also, he thinks they smell funny.
    How am I doing?

You think bugbears are funny? Like a clown? People like clowns...

Very suspicious if you ask me.

added a doppelganger bard here. she spends most (if not all) of her time in her current human form. also, she refuses to EVER take the shape of a bugbear, just out of a natural hatred of bugbears as a species.

seriously. if some demon god was destroying the universe and said to her "take the shape of a bugbear, and i will return to the pits of hell without destroying reality as you know it" she would say "no thanks". :P

My character has no preference for bugbears either way, but they do burn quite well. He knows this from experience.

I am strongly considering changing my eladrin wizard to a deva wizard, with essentially the same background. Just wanted to let you know.

I would post the sheet, but I am just checking in real quick. I am on vacation right now with only limited access. I will be back home Thursday afternoon, so no worries about interrupting the game.

Second character, though I would prefer to play the swordmage.

Professor Brendus Ironhaft, Dwarven Monster-hunter (wizard)

    Appearance
An older dwarf. Gray haired and long bearded, carries a pith helmet that he occasionally wears. Portly.

    Background
Brendus has been a professor of theoretical monster hunting at the local university for many years. He knows, or likes to think that he knows, what the five headed bandersnatch is, he can tell you the weakness and resistances of the mutant two-pronged flumph and wrote his doctoral dissertation on the kobold husbandry. He knows his monsters. Unfortunately, the university ran out of money and had to fire him, citing "budget problems." After a few days of consideration, Brendus realized that he had never actually gone on any research expeditions in the field. It was better late, than never. There's a world of outrageous creatures to catalogue and who better to do it than him.

    Okay, you bastards.

You thought you could get me this way, huh? Trying to overwhelm me with applications, try to drive me crazy with goodness? Well, eff that. I see through your sneaky tricks. I see through them like a fox. I know who sent you. The sneakiest goddamn bastards in all the lands.

    Bugbears.

Not this year, Bugbears. Not this year.

I wish I could have made two games, just to fit as many of you all in, but I really don't have the time available for that in the near future. There were a shitload of great applications, but in the end, I had to go with my gut and choose a group.

Here's the party I've chosen for this game.

    Blublo Phillippei, Gnome Warlord [Utsanomiko]
Quinn Arcellis, Human Paladin [Mike Danger]
    Kellus, Drow Sorceror [Alecthar]
    Kreel, Goliath Avenger [StygianSmileyFace]
    Alead, Deva Invoker [GrimmyTOA]

See you all in the IC thread, comin' up shortly.
