i think it was littleboots who made a remake of gravelpit in the alpine setting. i played it once and it looked fucking awesome but i think flippy was bitching because of the collision maps and it was taken behind the chemical sheds and shot
Also, I'm tossing up this CTF map called Staging for some playtesting. It's interesting, since there's three intel rooms, and every time you capture a intel, the enemy's room changes to the next one.

i think the main complaint was that the rocks at the end of B had boxes that extended well past the draw rock. so basically it affected no one but snipers.

EDIT: Did you know? Moustache fighting was invented by the Sandinistas in 1967. Guerilla cells would often be isolated in the jungle for months at a time with no way to communicate with Liberation Front leaders. Moustache fighting was the natural way to resolve disputes amongst soldiers and establish leadership hierarchies.

The map had some fps issues for me they may have been why the map was taken off. Im not sure if areal-portals were used while remaking the map?

Hey You had problems because he uses a faggy mac.
Yes, I deleted a lot of the area portals because they just came through as black brushes from the decomp. I was going to put them back in but I'm lazy and figured the map wouldn't be played more than once anyway.

So, while waiting on queue for PA, I was playing pub Goldrush. It was the 1st map-section, and we were defending the 2nd point. So an engineer on the team spawned, went up the ramp, and built a dispenser on the very end of the left side where people usually build SGs. Anyway, he climbed on his dispenser, jumped onto the little balcony in front of it, and built a SG. I figure everyone knows what I'm referring too but I figured I'd be thorough.
Anyway, the guy got kicked off the server for doing that, and it kind of surprised me. Do we allow people to build SGs/ rocket-jump / demo-jump up there? To me, it looks like an absolutely stupid spot to try to build an SG. It's visible from near-every angle, it's incredibly easy to shoot down without being shot at by snipers, etc. It just seems like a very bad spot, enough that spending all that time building a sentry up there only to get it immediately blown up should be punishment enough.
So what's the server rules / personal consensus on it, legit? Stupid? Tactical?

Sorry I had to drop. Stuff.

i like the view of the mountains in the distance and stuff
cashworks is pretty too

This. We also need some payload or CP maps that aren't desert tile set
Fuck me, I forgot to change the .cfg filename when the new bugfix version went up (the b3a one). Should be fixed now.
And map-voting *should* be on. Is it not working?

I mean the "votemap" command
says "voting is disabled"
I switched back to Beetle's since SourceMod was being a douche. Try using @menu at the console. (I think that's the command, anyway.)
Was this at the beginning of a round? I'm pretty sure I had it set up so that you can't RTV until at least five minutes have passed after a mapchange.
EDIT: I think I got it.

I had assumed that voting had been locked like it was before
I said I can handle it!
Or maybe I'll just try to get more Heavy and Pyro achievements...we shall see...
