For my lit class i need to watch a video of a play or an adaptation of a play to a movie. Problem is i cant really go back to my school library since i owe them $30 in late fees  .
so what im asking is can anyone find me some decent plays/play adaptations that are streaming on netflix?
Netflix has a variety of films of Great Performances from PBS. I would suggest the recent remake of "Company" by Stephen Sondheim. It's a musical, so I don't know if that matches your criteria, but all of the singers are also band performers in it, which makes it a bit novel (much like another Sondheim revival of "Sweeney Todd").
But yeah, you shouldn't have any problems finding movie adaptations of plays on Netflix.
I feel like liming two posts at once is a party foul, but the past two posters have it nailed. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead if you want a film adaptation of a play, the PBS Great Performances of "Company" if you want a live stage recording of a play.

Edit: Best I could do is wiki, should still help you though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macbeth_(1971_film)
Go to blockbuster and rent West Side Story, Romeo + Juliet, Rent, any Hamlet adaptation, The Phantom of the Opera, etc.
There are tons of move adaptations to plays. I bet some of them are streaming on netflix too.
