Problems with Dell XPS M1530

So my parents got a new XPS M1530 for Christmas and the problem has been there since then but it hasn't really started acting up until now.

What happens is that they connect wirelessly to a network but then oddly enough it disconnects itself for no apparent reason? It's not idling either, they're actively using it when it happens.

It's just very weird and quite frustrating and I was wondering if there are any settings I need to tweek or downloads I need to download for my parents?

I've heard about this problem with the SXPS 1640 but not really for the XPS M1530.

The wireless card is a Dell Wireless 1490 Dual Band WLAN Mini-Card Rev 8.3 with driver version 4.170.77.3.

It's really bugging the shit out of my mum and dad so any help would really be appreciated.

Check the power saving options to make sure nothings been tweaked.

Download the latest drivers from the Dell website

    Check with Dell Support/Warrenty

    Reformat and reinstall

Buy a USB Wireless dongle or PCMCIA or replacement mini-card

Now that's odd, my Dell Studio XPS 1640 has started having the same problem now.

It happened twice last night, so now I think it might actually be the router.
