Anyway this new mode is actually pretty awesome now that I spent 20 minutes reading about it online to figure it the hell out.
The best addition is that THERE IS NOW A NOISE WHEN SOMEONE JOINS YOUR MATCH/LOBBY! I always create a lobby and then wait for someone, and I would have to dart my eyes over from my computer every 10 seconds to see if someone had joined. THANK GOD.
Are you sure it was a level 3 focus? Only that one is unblockable.
I actually won a tournament. I absolutely love Sakura. I got destroyed in the Finals by a Gen. On the road to my victory I barely beat another Sakura (I love invincibility frames). The finals was the best and I really wish I could have uploaded it, but you know Pros only . I had about a jab's worth of health and beat him from 3/4 with a Ultra wake up (Through a fireball) and just combo's galore he was desperately trying to beat me.

There are three flavors of focus. The first flavor basically is you tapping the buttons and letting go instantly. This deals meh damage and crumples only on counter hit.
Flavor two crumples on hit. You know you're enjoying this flavor after the ring of dust expands from your character.
Flavor three is unblockable, breaks armor and crumples. You're tasting the final flavor when you hold the button until the end of the attack.
The longer you hold down the focus attack before releasing, the more powerful it is. There are 3 "levels" of charge, with the longest being level 3. Only that one is unblockable. A tap is level 1, level 2 is just after the flash effect (and has a noise when you reach it).
Well, despite all my bitching I'm enjoying this mode. The connection has settled down and i've gotten plenty of championship matches in. Just about to break 1k GP. Fun times.
Once I graduate to A or whatever, will I HAVE to play in the harder tournaments? These seem hard enough as it is.

Just won my first championship WOOO! It was basically the worst Blanka ever. Just lightning and Blanka Balls. Kikokens and jabs took out the balls, kicks for the lightning.
I got the pleasure of playing an amazing Viper. FP, TK feint, d.FP?, EX seismo, Ultra pretty consistently. Tons of mixups and speed. I wish i could have recorded it.
I think we should lose GP, especially if we lose in the earliest round.
If the highest tournament rank is the only one where you lose GP, then everyone will eventually get there, provided they play enough. That goes against ranking you against people of similar skill.
I thought the only one that didn't involve you losing GP was the G-3 bracket.
If I'm wrong and you can accumulate even at a loss, based on what I'm seeing so far the point requirements are astronomical. I ran into a 1.2k player who wasn't out of G-3A yet. Seeing how the losses get you a very low number of points, the idea may be that to actually grind your way to the top through losses would take so long, you'd make Methuselah look old by the time you got there.

I hate doing that move and some bastard shoto does an SRK that magically swaps sides and hits me out of it. Wish I had a move that easy to wakeup with.
By the way, is there any good BnB comboes that I could use?

Her bnb is c.lk x3 xx ex legs. Another good one to know is c.fp xx m.sbk (you cancel after the first hit of the fp). The second is great for punishing whiffed/blocked srks or other things like that.

Well as near as I can tell the ability to upload the replay has nothing to do with your overall standings, but rather how much CP you earned in that tournament.
So coming home late tomorrow won't have any affect on you, as its all based on the end CP total of the matches you just played/
I get that as well. Is it a lag switch? It can't be a coincidence since it's happened so many times.
Oh and raynaga. I had an idea for your ken vs balrog trouble. Simple. Kara throw alot.
Edit: about he replay thing. Very cool the replay thing is not as badly thoughout as I thought then and I suddenly understand why my last championship win didn't upload. Thanks

The jump from B to a is pretty big. You need 1000 GP.
Also I HATE doing 3 round matches, blah. How do you "win" a 4 round match anyway?

Perfected a cube sporting Sakura with my Sakura too.
I have yet to land that combo on anyone in a match since I got out of the 500 bp range. I guess I stopped looking since it's so punishable on block.

Yeah I only ever use it if i'm punishing something in a corner and looking to land the ultra juggle, other than that it's pretty worthless.

or if you catch them in the air with jHPHP follow up with another jump and 3x headstomp. You should check out her trails.

Down + B in the air. Must be straight down. You can also do it when your enemy is on the ground for a crossup.
