    generally yes, but there are a handful of people that dont show up anymore. like alex wilder, jay gatsby, luny, eric (two of them), orik, zzulu, and others. there is a core of old timers but it grows and shrinks.

    You should never plan to call on the reserves because you're going to need them even if everyone says they can show.

    1 of each class makes for fun games. Every role is represented and you can communicate stuff like "medic/demoman/spy is down" and have it be quite meaningful for the team. Also the game is less reliant on medics and is a large enough team size to make things interesting.

    yeah pretty much. its nice because each person has a defined role to play and its on that persons shoulders alone. it really lets you shine with what youre good at and work as a cohesive team even if you arent really communicating all that much

    I found it was more like, okay, some people get to play classes they are good at, but some people get stuck in classes they're not good at, or terrible at. And you're stuck in that role for the whole game basically, even if it's pretty useless on a map. You make some good points though.

    I'd hope they don't worry about it that much. As GPR is trying to point out, the whole thing is just for fun. Yeah it is competitive, but you don't have to play a great class of yours to have fun. Try something new, see if it works, if not, oh well, it is only 2-4 games.

    I currently have the shittest Internet connection (1mb(I'm at my parents)) so to type this I'm on my iphone because it's faster.. When I get back to civilisation (read: go to my grandparents house) then I'll update and add every one, but that might not be for a few days (or it might be today).. Just rest asured I haven't forgotten about the tournament.

    I never played online with my 28.8k but with my 56k I remember frequently playing online with a 400 ping. And having people claim ping made no real difference to skill.

    Boy, I would own those fuckers so hard nowadays.

    i was rolling with 28.8k up until a few years ago, and then I went to satellite for 2 or 3 years and now I am on wireless

    i used to play WoW on the 28.8 and disconnect any time more than ~30 people were around
