I'm determined to get 1000/1000 on this thing, and I made pretty damn good progress today. Managed to get all the BSAA emblems, all the costumes, beat the game on veteran, and deflected an arrow with a knife. Beating the game on professional will probably break me though.

It also doesn't help that the versus add-on put in another 200 points to get...guess I'll need to get it at some point.

I definitely prefer slayers over survivor. It seems slayers can be pretty fair because there's two ways you can win (killing the other team or killing the shit outta some notzombies), but in survivor if you're getting stuck w/ shit spawns then that's that.

Omeks: I'm having to play throught the DLC now for those points too. I didn't care about extra points in Halo, but for some reason it bugs me that I don't have all the RE points. I wish MS would make it so that DLC can't contain achievements.

Still need the emblems myself , I did that arrow one plus I spent the day finding all the treasures . I had to run 5-3 like 20 times because I kept missing gems that only appear there . On the plus side I made 50k each time I ran the level so I managed to max out a few weapons. I also did the cattle prod kill ones , now to get the other kill 30 enemies with X weapon achievements . I have no idea how to get lead aspirin I guess its just luck.

I'm pretty close to having all the treasures. The only ones I need are the one for killing the bat-monster thing in 4-1 (which I didn't know you could do until reading about it), and one in 5-3 for damaging
Wesker enough to make him leave
, as well as a few Marquise and Brilliant gems.

As far as lead aspirin goes, I've been trying on Public Assembly in Mercs to cap them when they jump across the rooftops in the center of the map, but it's not working as of yet.

In some cases I don't mind them, like with GTA: The Lost and the Damned, it actually got me closer to 1000/1000 . In other cases, I wish they wouldn't add points into games, because I was determine to get 1000/1000 on Fallout 3 until Anchorage came out and added some points into it, and since I heard it wasn't very good DLC, I'm not wasting MS points just to get a couple more achievements.

I was doing some solo mercs with midnight wesker on PA, and meleeing what I could to death and actually ended up with 138 kills, was pretty cool.
BSAA Jill is probably the hardest character to solo mercs with, which really makes me wonder how the #1 duo for PA is BSAA Jill and Midnight Wesker.

Yeah I've beat STARS Wesker 1v1 with her, and gotten an S with her on a few stages. Just going to get Ses on solo, going for SS with everyone is an exercise in frustration. Still want to SS duo with em all though.

darklite and I have come upon a well, a pretty fucked up realization.

You want to win Team Survivors? Find a spot they can only get to by 1 way and camp.

The 3rd story roof on the combo times building.

    The top of experimental facility.

The 60 second room in Missle Area is what we've found so far.

Fortunately, Ship Deck and The Mines doesn't seem to have any campable areas.

So was the DLC basically five dollars for an on-disc unlock, as predicted? IE was the file in the KBs?

It was like 1.8MB and judging by what it added it certainly seems as if it was already on the disc. That said, I have no definitive proof, and I like the DLC even if it was already on the disc.

But that doesn't make it right.

Most of the game news outlets seem to suggest that this is the case. However, I've also heard that because it uses the same resources (models, textures, sounds, etc.) already on the disc, the ~1.86MB (it's like 500-something KB on the PS3) is actually code that could have been written after the release of the game. Who knows?

I would say that it does matter. If it was coded after the release of the game, there would be no issue period.

    Yes. Yes, it does.

I love Capcom, but between this and SFIV, charging players more money to unlock the whole finished game is a pretty bullshit practice that needs to stop.

So far I've only done a solo run through and that was pretty cool and all but I know co-op is where it's at. Sheva's AI was competent enough except for the few times where she willingly threw herself into deaths arms.

Anyway, I bought this for the 360 because one of my buddies that I usually play co-op games with said he was getting it. While I was convinced that my other friends who are PS3 owners wouldn't be picking it up. Long story short, I really should have gone PS3. Now I'm honestly considering trading in for the PS3 or at least renting it, =/

I've been hesitant to do co-op with some random dudes 'cause that's always just a bit awkard. Tell me I'm not missing out guys! Lie to me!

No it doesn't. Did they advertise it as part of the original game? No. Did you buy it anyways? Yup. Therefore, extra content beyond that, be it on the disc or not, is exactly that: extra content. It being on the disc or some server is irrelevant. Yeah, if it is on the disc it no longer LITERALLY means "downloadable content". But DLC just means extra content. And having a new feature that was never advertised as part of the game you paid for originally is extra content regardless of the storage medium.

Capcom, the developer, defines what the "whole finished game" is. The whole finished game was deemed to be the content provided for your initial $60 purchase, and you accepted that when you bought the game. It doesn't matter when the new, extra content was actually developed since it was not part of the initial agreement.

Wow. I am shocked at how many people are all up on Capcom's dick.

There are devs and publishers out there that actually strive to put as much content into a release as possible.

This shit is just sleazy, no matter if its the dev/publisher's legal right to do it or not.

I think Capcom did an great job with all the content they put on the game and I have no issues paying for versus mode

It's just one of those things but I don't think it's that big of a deal, now I think a bigger deal is paying for the extra costumes on Street Fighter IV especially when they were definitely unlock codes but I still am not convinced that Versus mode was on the disc and was just an unlock code.

Vote with your wallet and quit bitching is all I'm saying. It's great when developers endeavor for free content (like Valve) but to complain when new content isn't free is dumb.

That doesn't prove anything though especially when a normal disc unlock is 108 kb and on the 360 it was 1.9 megs.

I still think it's possible that the Versus was downloaded and not on the disc.

I like how the boss enemies drop weapons in survivor mode. The problem is is that killing notzombies doesn't net any points and most maps have a campable position; so once you get ahead and in a spot like that it's almost impossible for the other team to catch up.

The problem with slayer is that mercs characters keep their loadouts so Wesker is way more powerful than the other characters.

If they patched in points for majini in survivor mode to prevent camping it would be the best.

Love the same-console co-op on this game. Love it. I would probably sleep with it if I met it in real life and it found me as attractive as I find it.

Is it just me or is it difficult to find couch co-op games that are any good on the 360? I would rate this above Army of Two, a game specifically designed for 2 people to play at once.

But *why* is there no specific notation telling you how to start co-op on the same console? I had to look it up (rental game, no manual available). For such an awesome feature, you'd think there'd be an option right from the start that would hint to...ya know, pressing start on the second controller.

I question how someone was able to find a couple of them. One of them is on 6-1 and pretty much requires you to be at the highest point on the map, have a sniper rifle, and notice a little teal-colored emblem allllllllll the way on the otherside of the map.
