I went 20-30 minutes without any combat in Bioshock because I was scared as hell of opening doors

I KNOW SOMETHING IS IN THERE DON'T LIE TO ME GAME.

The only thing that really bothers me is the poor player animation.

I don't like that there are so many expressive and animated characters, meanwhile I'm here holding my fat fucking hand in a stupid position all game waiting to throw a plasmid.

I nitpick, but I like the game in general.

How could you be bored with a game that allows you to shoot bees from your hands.

I get bored of things way faster than normal humans I guess

After the first few time of trying out the new plasmids I got bored of em. And even with all the fancy upgrades none of the guns were anything special.

The most fun I got out of it was sneaking around whacking splicers with my wrench that can apparently freeze people.

It's not nearly as great and fun as anyone who likes it makes it out to be.

It is in fact quite shallow. So I feel sorry FOR YOU.

Also you all be bioshock pushers

I am also one of those who never finished the first game. The story was great, I just didn't care enough to keep stumbling awkwardly around killing people with bees and fighting the same boss fight with the big daddies over and over and over again.

I won't play through a game just for story, but I really enjoyed Bioshock. The idea of dual-wielding plasmids has my mind-cogs turning on the effects of using powers in conjunction. Don't cross the beams, etc.

there was no enemy variety whatsoever

all the splicers are supposed to be crazy due to overuse of plasmids but only like that one guy has plasmid powers

the last half got so fucking boring and repetitive

the first three hours or so are one of the best video game experiences ever though

I didn't really like the way the controls felt in one. It seemed like every gun was spray-and-pray. Hacking I guess is fun if you are amazingly terrible at puzzle games and tedious compared to other minigames otherwise. The "moral choice" they presented with your options being a) murdering someone or b) not murdering someone was kind of silly and out of place in a game where you are mostly doing b, but to adults.

Against all odds though, it was a kinda fun game. I just kind of forgot to keep playing toward the middle and didn't finish it.

I really need to finish the original Bioshock. But I suck at first person shooters so much. It doesn't even matter that you instantly respawn when you die. The sheer magnitude of my suckage means that every time I hear a noise, I'll wildly attempt to re-adjust the camera so I can see what's coming at me and HEY GUESS WHAT the splicer has been gnawing on my arm for the past three minutes. And that just gets frustrating

New game looks very cool, though.

Knowing how well they did the story for the first game, I think the story behind 2 will be great as well

in the first game the player could choose to either harvest little sisters for more adam, or save them. this time you can still harvest the little sisters, but as a big daddy you can adopt little sisters and get them to harvest adam for you! but you need to protect them.
