LAN Games!

After a weekend long spree of Company of Heroes comp-stomps (and a fair bit of getting stomped by the computer) my brother and I are burned out on CoH, and we're looking for some recommendations for games (Preferably games that don't require the CD or have multiplayer spawn install options) that we can play over our LAN. FPS, RTS, TBS, RPG, doesn't really matter to us.

Some of the LAN playable games we already have include: CoH, DoW, the -crafts and Diablos, NWN, Gal Civ I and II, and both Star Trek: Armada games.

    Nox?

I too recommend the Diablo perspective, Quake 2 paced, magic/summoning/meleeing death match game of complete sex.

I'd totally forgotten about Nox, never had a chance to try the multiplayer. Dug through my 'box o old games' and discovered I only have the play disc, god only knows where the install disk is. :( Time to go searching.

Call of Duty 4 or 5, Left 4 Dead, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Quake 3, UT2k4 for FPS (varies on numbers showing up, CoD/ET best for more than 8, the others otherwise)

Starcraft, Rise of Nations, Warcraft 3, C&C: Generals for RTS

Other options include Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Titan Quest, Diablo 2

You said Dawn of War, so I'm assuming you have both DoW and DoW2.

I'd recommend R6 Vegas 2 and Titan Quest (plus the expansion).

    Operation Flashpoint!

We break it out on every LAN. It's so awesome to plunk down a squad for you to play, add some enemy squads and vehicles, set up some waypoint and then start shooting.

Red Alert 2. Maybe with that Yuri's Revenge expansion pack, but that's not as necessary.
