Wouldn't the fur/feathers be burned by the lava? Sorry if that is a jerk critique. I would think stone/bone/rock/brick would make more sense based on the character design and what I imagine it's environment would be.
Its supposed to be more of a leathery Cartilage, like a rope around his neck and then in panels on his head. Not so much feathers and fur (except on his front legs). I'll try and make that more apparent.
errrg, I really wish your stuff was on my shirts...Is it possible to submit to TeeFury, or do they contact artists themselves? I don't know if it's as good as a cut financially, but it'd be interesting to see how many people bought a shirt in the day it's sold.
I like the newest shirt, but I feel like the two before that have colors that are way too subdued, especially the bug boy. Also, the characters, and some of your older people drawings, make me think maybe you should work on your stylized faces? I don't know, the head shape and faces seem blander than your normal style which usually pops a lot more.

The head shapes are really no different than the way I usually draw. I dont normal post unshaded sketches, especially ones that aren't destined to be paintings, maybe that's whats throwing you? Generally I post colored work and I do alot of molding in the coloring phase. I will say while Nia (the girl) is pretty much where I want her character wise, the other two have growing to to do, I don't normally draw guys.
I agree on the two shirts, that's why they haven't been subbed anywhere, I just haven't decided where I want to take the bug and how I'm going to redo the other.
The shading probably is the case, and I guess the word I was looking for was along the lines of "two-dimensional." I'm not sure if I've seen a fully redered version of that in your style, but I'd say that I think what's getting me is that the structure of the faces is pretty flat. There are a few on the first page that look more three dimensional, but it's more the fact that there's no cheekbones and then the nose is flat against the face. The profile-views give it more of a three-dimensional look, but I would wonder what one of them would look like in full rotation, because the 3/4 doesn't look as appealing sometimes.

I wish I would have said this earlier, but that t-shirt is fantastic!
Srsizzy- Its still the difference between alot of construction lines/shading and no contruction lines/shading. I draw in a heavily anime influenced style, so in places, flatness is probably going to be a part of it and be intentional.
Also keep in mind that these are quick sketchbook notations for me, for instance the sketches of just the 1 guys face all over it, if you infer from the vague notes I was mostly looking for a hair type, not a face. I made a few notes on eyes but it was mostly an after thought.
You'll have to let me know if this ever gets printed anywhere, I would love that shirt. Though I personally think that it's fine as it is. A texture might ruin the over all style of the piece. You want to avoid making it look like one of those overly detailed wolf shirts people buy at the swap meet. You know the ones. With the half-wolf half-eagle howling at the moon while simultaneously flying across it? Those wolf shirts.
Your artwork is amazing, by the way. The difference in your detailed work and your more cartoony stuff is fun to see throughout the thread. It shows a real diversity as an artist. Which is something I would like to develop in my own work.
Haha, you know you'd be amazed at how many people are wearing those half wolf-eagle over moon regurgitating stars because its the hipster ironic thing to do.
Thanks for the compliments, I try to keep the range open. To my dismay its not exactly great for portfolio building.

The line that makes up the guy in front's left upper forearm seems too end in several regular intervals which throws the smoothness of the rest of the lines off. There's something similar going on with this chest as well.
I'm not sure if those were accidental or intentoinal but I thought I'd point them out.
Thanks napp, I'll fuck around with those lines tomorrow. Toulouse Lautrec is one of my favorite artists, It was so much fun to do it even if it makes me a huge poser because I dont know french and barely listen to punk.

Bolivia Bugs are terribly poisonous, so not really. Its more of a Dogapillar (not to be mistaken with dragopillars, its not supposed to look like a dog).

I really like the detail of the eye changing colors to match the dragon. I'd like to see this finished so I can print it and hang it on my wall at college /vaguely creepy.
I really like that. One thing I'd mention is that on the eye on the left, the left corner of the lids are really spaced apart, though that's a pretty small thing, and might've been on purpose. I don't think the bottom lid can make that shape naturally, but that may be your intention. Otherwise, that's a great "bored" doodle (for some reason the statement "bored" and then that makes me very amused).

The eyes are pretty stylized, I was trying to exaggerate while still working from a mirror
Dont people normally do flattering self portraits? Huh. Donno if Im going to keep painting this, I've just been in a slump.
Mine tells me I'm a terrible artist and I should give up, then I yell at it and it mopes around while I drink some tea and contemplate life. Then I remember that I love drawing and draw weird shit while my slump plays DS games and smokes hookah. Then I get jealous and I play DS games and smoke hookah.
No, but the natural shape of the opening plus my lines was coming out very vaginal, which I dont thing is a great shape for a tee. I've decided I want the shell to be way crazier, anyway. Maybe I can override that.

http://iruka.iseenothing.com/Niasketches2.jpg <-- these look better, the nose is given more form
http://iruka.iseenothing.com/learsketches1.jpg <-- but the "pointed nose" thing has the nose going straight down to imply depth, rather than coming out and having actual depth, which I don't feel like fits with your general talent at dealing with depth/dimensions
I'd wear it.

If you dont know what this is a parody of, you should be ashamed. Some adjustments need to happen to the text on the bottom, but yeah.
