I've said this before, but I find that the Factory is much more interesting when you select "Open Level" instead of "Level 50". It's also good for learning the potential of different pokemon.
For special attack, fight Gastlys in the old chateau. For attack, I usually just use the power item and train it while training something else, but I hear that some people fight Gyarados' for it.
I'll have to try the open level. I've just been doing the level 50 one.

It uses level 100, fully evolved pokemon. So you end up with stuff like Metagross and Alakazam. As of round 5, you actually start getting legendaries. At one point I was using Metagross/Garchomp/Suicune. It was a little silly.

As far as I can tell, the level 50 seems to increase evolutions as you go. First 7 matches are lowest evolution, second is first evolution. I didn't know that open level just meant level 100. Weird. Wonder why they just didn't call it level 100.
Also, I haven't been able to get in sync with Rami lately, is anyone able to throw me a misdreavus and/or murkrow, preferrably with Pokerus (or barring that any poke with an active Pokerus)?

I can hand you a misdraevus with pokerus, lemme just run it through a couple of battles till it catches it.
Edit: Done, just add my pearl code which is on the previous page, i'll be on wifi.

Gah, sorry didn't mean right now, cause I'm at work. But usually I'm available around 8pm-ish US eastern time.

Glaceon doesn't get a Special Atk Ice Attack until over level 70, and it's Physical Attack is laughable. Where can I get a repeatably obtainable Ice Special TM? (Ice Beam or Blizzard, presumably...)

I think you can buy Blizzard at Veilstone.
Edit: I think Ice beam you can buy at the game center.

God damnit.
I saw the Pokemon Special cover at the beginning first and was hopeful that the article would be about that, even if it was just a poor review. I was very much let down.
Speaking of the manga, though, I still haven't found the end of volume 29 or anything after that. Still not even into the Diamond/Pearl stuff!
I don't think a single NPC trainer's Luxray has Intimidate. Weird.
EDIT: Wait what the fuck? A Focus Sash gets used up permanently if you use it in the single-player? I thought that only applied to berries...
EDIT2: Alright Maylene. First you just happen to follow me cross-country through the icecaps, and now you're just snooping around on my property for no apparent reason? What's up with that? Get off my lawn.
Question: Illumise and Volbeat both have Egg Moves, like, say, Baton Pass. To get a Illumise with Baton Pass, I would need a father who knows the move from the same Egg Group as Illumise (Bug or HumanShape).
Volbeat, however, can only breed with either Ditto or females of its Egg Groups, and Egg Moves only pass from the father. Isn't it then impossible to get Baton Pass onto a Volbeat?
At least if I get what he's saying, essentially Illumise is a female volbeat (or volbeat is the male illumise) and can be treated as such, so a Illumise egg can result in a Volbeat.

That'd be a pretty elegant solution ... I'll make some eggs from an Illumise later tonight and test it out. Thanks for the answer. I guess I should google sometimes before I ask the thread. XD
Hey dingus, would you be up for a battle on shoddy?
I could have an in-game team but I'm in the middle of doing some breeding, and I must at least finish breeding this thing today.
Yeah, Jammin's a real annoyance for me. Especially since I switched Infernape out of my team at the last second before getting on because you mentioned that you found Inspector annoying.
Incidentally, I'm surprised Inspector managed to knock out what it did.
I need to retroactively apply my new nicknaming convention of "boring real-life names" to all my older Pokemon. It's weird to have SpeedRacer sitting in between Clarence and Wayne.
Ashton I'll slap together a team on Shoddy and play if you dingus doesn't want to.

I could use whatever legendaries you have left.
I can't offer much that you probably don't already have.

Uxie: Impish 31/5/11/31/23/13 Seems kind of nifty (I already saved), Azleaf: Jolly 5/15/21/27/17/23 (Again I saved).
Eh the nature could be better on the Azleaf but I lucked out and caught it really quick. I can still make use of them against my friend though.

If my shoddy performance is any indication this team is pretty meh... hopefully it'll do better in the tournament.

I've trained Staraptor, Smeargle, Kangaskhan, Porygon2, Porygon-Z, Swellow, and Exploud
I feel like I'm forgetting one, but yeah. You probably have more.
Is it bad that I want a Mantyke plushie, even though I never use him in the game, just because it's the cutest damn pokemon ever?
Also, any kind of set date for the tourney yet? Sorry if I missed it on the old thread.
Should be starting around the beginning of next month. I'll start accepting registration next week.

Oh yeah, I guess I don't have a Porygon-Z yet.
