After years of delay I finally picked up a Pokemon game.
Yay for Platinum.
I can now do two totally awesome things.
1) Make a super awesome team.
2) Finally use that Mew I got at Toys R Us years ago which has been sitting on my Emerald cart with me saying "I'll train it when I get Diamond/Pearl" Yeah.
Of course now there's a Non-event way to get Mew...
oh yeah, thats right. Thats so ridiculous though, you need over 900 pokemon to put on the Ranch and I don't think you even have any control on the type of Nature it has.
I thought for a second that you meant the Mew in Emerald, but thats basically an event pokemon also.
I could give you one of those Mews (the TRU Mew) if you want to run through the game with it.
If you use the Azure Flute to get to Arceus, can you return to that area afterwards? Because if so I would really love to hatch my Pokemon there so they had a unique birthplace.
Wait, is it possible to trade it over even before you get the National Dex?

Nothing can be transfered in from the GBA games until you've gotten the National Dex, but Diamond/Pearl/Platinum have no restrictions on trading to one another.
If you've already beaten D/P then you can transfer stuff over to that version and trade it over to Platinum.
My new guy managed to take out your new guy, but it probably would have made more sense to just Explode.

Bah. If either Empoleon or Staraptor had died (specs focus blast has a decent chance of knocking out empoleon, or it could have not missed) I would have won this. Also, if I had used Dragon Claw instead of Earthquake. Underestimated Growth.
Fuuuuuck Fooooocus Blaaaaast. The staraptor survival, while annoying, didn't have as huge an effect on the match as empoleon managing to take out gengar.
I'm tellin ya, Choice Specs Machamp with No Guard. Its the only way to use Focus Blast.
Also, I'm petitioning that Alakazam and Exploud should learn Vacuum Wave.
Or any Special Attacker that isn't a fighting type. How the hell does Scyther get Vacuum Wave?
I don't think the japanese have capital and lower-case analogues in katakana and kanji? Though I remember reading someplace that katakana was used for shouting, which is like block capitals, and all the Pokémon names are in katakana, so... block capitals! Or something.
Yeah, Katakana is used for foreign names, shouting, some names, onomatopoeia, Pokémon names and a bit other stuff. Katakana could be considered the equivalent of upper case.

My Gengar has Shadow Ball and Hypnosis and Focus Blast and Thunder. And a Wide Lens. There is a reason I do not use him very much.
