Where can you go in Diamond to check the happiness of a Pokemon? Also, I know that level-ups raise happiness, but does it count if they level up in the daycare?

If no, then breeding up a better Lucario is going to be a bitch.

I don't think it will raise happiness if they are in daycare. They have to be active in battle and level up like that. You can also give it rare candies and vitamins while holding a soothe bell and their happiness levels will rise.

Damnit, Emerl. You are filling my inbox with changes to your team! The last one also only mentioned a change in the team without re-posting the team, so now I can't delete the previous message. D:

I've only received 9 teams so far, but I can think of like six people here off the top of my head who haven't sent their list yet. Get those lists in!

You can just bike a lot, Speed. Walking with the Pokémon in your party raises its happiness, especially with a Soothe Bell. This works well with egg hatching.

Yeah, in retrospect that would've been a good idea. I managed to get a Riolu I'm pleased with though. I'm not crazy about it, but it's acceptable. Better than my old one at least where it didn't have a single stat that cracked 20.

Okay... I just need a few more things to start making my new party.

If anyone has a spare one of these, can I trade for them?:

    -TM 73 (Thunder Wave)
    -TM 75 (Swords Dance)
    - Male pokemon of the Fairy egg group that know Aromatherapy (e.g.: Hoppip, Skiploom, Jumpluff, Cherubi, Cherrim, Roselia)

So I may not have all the teams yet, but I've made up a list of pokemon that people are using in the tournament, to see which ones are the most used. Some of the numbers are surprising.

Out of the 11 teams I've seen, there are 7 of one certain pokemon. The next highest has 5, and there are several 4s and a whole bunch of 3s. In total, I have 63 different pokemon species.

I think it's best that I don't reveal what these pokemon are, yet. If I did, people could change their teams with the knowledge.

Well I'm not in the tourney but I know nothing about tutoring yet. Just finished off the Elite Four and trying to figure out where to go from here. Though I would be happy to help if it just involves trading or whatever.

EV question: Once you reach the max values, do you just stop earning points from battles? Or do new battles overlap old EV's? I'm pretty sure its the first, but I need to make sure.

Once you are maxed in EVs, you stop getting EVs.

They just stop earning. Sometimes they glitch out if you use an EV-reducing berry and they won't receive the Effort Ribbon, but the EVs are still there.

Gold and Silver party balls. A hint perhaps? maybe

Honestly, right now my skeptical side is feeling pretty confident that Nintendo is gonna piss everyone off with some lame ass announcement.

Its really been 10 years since G/S was released?

    Nine in America.

I don't know how to feel about GSC since I played it a lot during a critical time in my life so its OST brings just a few bad memories. But listening to remixes makes me feel good, though.

Wow, I had no idea that there was only a year between the US release of RB and GS.

There's going to have to be some really interesting features to wrangle me into buying the remake, because as much as I'd love the nostalgia trip I can't justify buying a Pokemon game where I'm going to knock the 1-player out and then never touch it again. Getting the starters would be nice but I don't have to personally buy it to get access to that. Heck I could get them right now if I really wanted to.

I am going to theorice that if there is a GS remake, they're going to add new egg moves besides the new move tutors.

They added some egg moves in Crystal, so it's likely.

That would probably be enough to sway me.

Also I know I'm dreaming but if the remakes allowed you to use formes of traded-over DPP pokemon online that'd be great.

A game with both lowered Hypnosis accuracy and no Acid Rain would be nice too.

Yeah, seems likely that it indicates a rerelease of Gold and Silver; the balls are gold and silver, the Johto starters have a prominent role in the next movie, and Nintendo loves money.

I kinda wish they'd bring back some of those old TMs from the second generation if they do get revived. DPPt has the 50 from Gen 3 as well as the 42 new ones, why not bring back some like the Elemental Punches and Curse?

Curse is a move tutor? I know the Punches are, but a TM version would be easier to use than having to dig up Shards.

There's also Zap Cannon, which could have its uses.

Zap Cannon would be awesome on that Specs Machamp I'm always thinking about.

I remember in G/S they got rid of the Ice Beam, Flamethrower and Thunderbolt TMs. I don't think I had internet at the time and I still remember hearing about fans being really upset about that change. They had to add a move tutor in Crystal (the first tutor?) that taught the elemental beams. Of course, you couldn't reach him till after beating the game and you had to pay him in coins from the arcade and he wanted a fucking ton of them... I remember being really pissed off about that.

I wouldn't expect them to do that again.
No wait, cynicism kicking in, yeah I could see that happening again.

FUCK YES! I loved playing Gold on the GBC and i always give me excitement whenever I cleared a gym. I never knew about the original 8 gyms that could be played on that game though, which made me sad that I deleted my game many moons ago. Im totally syked and im pretty sure Nintendo will see this through for a proper Gold and Silver Remake for the NDS.

This is good news for me. I had the itch to play some of the ol' Crystal a few days ago. It was then that I realized that the DS actually can't play color games. D:

Not sure why I didn't realize it earlier. Guess I just never tried.

Actually, scratch what I said, most of the TMs from GSC are either available in DPPt in some form or outright suck. Seriously, Mud Slap? I'd just prefer repeats of the fourth Gen's TMs if just to get more of the rare ones.

With the Specs it could go up to 375 SpAtk which is pretty decent I think.
But its not a serious idea, just a funny novelty thing. Being able to throw around Focus Blasts with no concerns about accuracy would be nice. It also learns Fire Blast.

Knowing Nintendo, it could be another Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (which I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole), a new Pokemon Ranger (which I'd end up buying), a sequel to PBR (god forbid), or even a new edition of Pokemon Snap! (hopefully not).

But I have my fingers crossed that it's the G/S/C remake that we've been deserving of.

And it better have Celebi in it.
