Is this how it always works? I read that to evolve into Lucario I needed max happiness. So I equipped that bell, and just had him tagging along with me for what seemed like ages, never did anything. Then I put him at the head of my party since I was getting sick of waiting for him to evolve, he leveled like twice, then poof he's Lucario.
Also, on the topic of breeding, I got a modest Ditto a couple days ago, that I was going to use to breed with my Empoleon so I could get a modest Piplup, but so far all my eggs (I believe 7 or 8) have all been male Piplups with random non-modest natures. I'd like a female Piplup so I can get an egg move on it. Is this just bad luck, or am I missing something with this whole breeding thing?

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. ~ Terry Pratchett
i had little trouble myself with wiki berries. just feed it full of 19 and + poffins. I believe the easiest way is to feed it wiki berries and then just before sheen is maxed out to feed it a micle poffin. That's basically guaranteed to evolve it if you did not burn any poffins.
There's a requirement check each level to see if conditions are met. for example, bonsly having mimic and happiness > some value i forget. if its met, it evolves.
1. Without attacking.
2. Ouick Ball.
3. While driving.
awesome.
Don't look at me like that I had to catch it because I hadn't saved before hand, my battery was running low, and I was NOT fighting those Galactic morons again.
EDIT: I was going very slow on a company road. So it's not like I was playing on the Interstate.
What exactly do you get Premiere Balls for anyway? I was never clear on that.
You get 1 Premiere Ball every time you buy 10 or more regular Poke Balls. There's nothing special about them other than appearance. They have the same capture rate as a normal Poke Ball.

I'm still looking at you like that. You know if you close the DS, it goes to sleep, right? Even low on battery it could stay like that for days.
Bashful (or one of the other neutral natures, I can't distinguish between them in Japanese)

Could be a lot worse. I'd keep it unless you'd prefer a +speed nature, as those aren't too hard to get even without synchronize. For example, if I'm aiming to get a Timid one in Fire Red:
- I use a stat calculator to figure out how fast a wild lv 50 Zapdos is with a +speed nature and a speed IV of 22 or more (which ensures that he outruns all Pokemon with 5 base speed less than him). For reference, this specific speed stat is 127.
- I get a Pokemon with a speed stat of 115 and put him at the front of my party. With the 10% boost from badges in the old games, this raises the speed to 126, exactly 1 less than the value I'm aiming for (127 for Zapdos).
- In the first round of the encounter, if my lead Pokemon goes first, then I know Zapdos is too slow and I restart. If Zapdos goes first, then I wear him down and catch him.
- During the battle, if I happen to notice that his special attacks aren't doing as much damage as they should be, I assume he has a Jolly nature and restart. It takes a few restarts before I know how to properly judge this sort of thing.
If you're not aiming for a particularly fast Zapdos, you might as well keep that one. I don't think I'd have the patience to soft reset without at least narrowing down the possibilities by speed unless I had a large stock of Master Balls on hand.
Rockin when you get ahold of a Zapdos you're happy with are you gonna be able to use a cloning method that doesn't keep you from nicknaming it? Like with Emerald or something?
Either way I would like a clone of it but one with the nickname I want would be awesome.
Man I have such an urge to play a Pokemon game. Though I haven't played one since Ruby like 5 years ago, and reading this thread makes it seem like I missed out on alot when I did.

The nice thing about Pokemon is that it can be as complex or as simplistic as you want it to be.
Speed, I have a Careful Ditto that I can lend (it has mostly shit IVs though)
and I also have a Petaya berry to spare.
I probably have a Spiritomb on the ranch but I can't really get to that right now.
Rami, I can battle right now.
Also, who was it that wanted a Murkrow and Pokerus? I can get you that.

I don't really have anything I can do with the Ditto without a Spiritomb, since I was just gonna breed a female careful one and give it back to its owner. I'll definitely hit you up if someone else has one/when you have access to your ranch.
Thanks for the TM and the Miltank entry. I remember G/S had a gym leader who had one and I got absolutely destroyed (Rollout I think or was it Rage?). By a friggin cow.
I've had a burning hatred for it ever since that day.

This would probably be an important piece of information that I didn't have.
Thanks!

That can't be right. Mine evolved after giving them around 25s and 30s. :S

I caught the both of them with Premiere Balls and am saving the rest for Arceus.

Man, my Crobat is too fast for that. I need to find a high level Poke that will do that job. I do have a lot of Master Balls, yeah.

Any word on when Arceus is supposed to get to the US?
3DS FC: 5343-7720-0490
HP: 20 - 29
Att: 31
Def: 30 - 31
SpA: 10 - 19

Man, I dunno. Should I try for higher speed?

Although you must refrain from talking about it until I've played a few more people.
Rockin, I can trade for those legendaries on Sunday. I can't really breed any egg move babies until then.
Yeah.
Rami, I'll play you later this evening. I'm a bit busy right now.
Don't worry, Kay.
