By lag out I mean I get hit, the sound and video stutters, I can tell I get hit a couple more times, everything returns to normal, but I'm a corpse.
As for what I learned from the last 20 some pages, internet drama is still the best kind, clearly some people are good enough that they should be given a wide berth as a new player, and that pic of the spy pie is pretty awesome.

Though it does seem odd that, assuming at other times the game is running normally, you only get lag when meleeing people. Maybe some weird driver bug with your video card?

Sounds like you might want to optimize your video settings a little. Or is this the sound loops problem I hear about but never see? Either way, that might help. Does this happen less and less the longer you play?
Also, the rumors of people's skills are often exaggerated, you just gotta get out dere and FIGHT, KILL, WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!
Well damn... Didn't mean to start a shitstorm on the heavy class debate.
I don't have the map names down yet, but it was a CTF map where the intelligence was to the right of the spawn, down some stairs, then there's an L shaped hallway leading to the center of the map. Great squeeze point for a heavy when there's an engi's dispenser behind you. Stand in the hallway until your low on ammo or health. Keep an eye out for snipers.
I must've killed two or three spies during that run, they kept trying to stab me in the back/sap the buildings.

I forgot to mention that it does it no matter the level of settings, and everything else I do in the game I don't have any issues.
And as far as I can tell everything is up to date, and my system should be able to run the game just fine. I have a e8500 processor running at stock speeds, a nvidia 280gtx, and 8GB of ram. My ping is usually never higher than 115, and it doesn't matter if there are 2 or 20 people playing.

Then that's just weird... Have you tried updating your drivers as suggested?
I admit some curiosity about why a demolition company and a construction company are fighting over a set of ancient ruins.
Come to think of it, it's funny that BLU is all about building, but on those offense-defense maps, RED is always defense and builds a bunch of sentry guns.
All my drivers are up to date, I guess I could try some beta versions of the nvida ones.
This only happens when you melee? Like, what happens when you melee nothing but air? Does it stagger there? Only when you melee other people? What about when they melee you? When you melee teammates? This just seems like an odd quip and maybe you need to verify your game files?

Well, the red team always has big rockets, or missiles, or lasers they are defending, so it kinda makes sense

Turbine?
The pictures on Google says that's it.
Cool map.
ctf is a lot of fun until you have like 3 engineers with sentries guarding the intel and the map is locked down and turns into team DM

Unless those engineers are guarding the enemies intel. Then it is fun.
the worst is when youre in the middle of a melee battle and some asshole comes along and shoots you
Yeah, I've had so many good MAN FIGHTS ruined this way - either by a third person shooting me or someone on my team shooting my opponent. I'm like "...dick!" These unfun events have been offset however by my recent training in heavy tauntkilling. You'd be surprised at how effective it can be once you get timing and placement down right. It's like being a spy but with a higher (immediate) risk, lower mobility and some weapons and health to fall back on should they not kill you in the 1-1.5 seconds of cooldown ("haha!"). But there is no better kill, short of the best best tauntkill that is the Scout's ridiculously long Sandman taunt. So humiliating and hilarious all in one!
All the CTF maps would be improved by having less turtling (you can't really build that into a map but it needs to happen) and then a higher default goal to offset that intelligence should be captured faster. The default's 3... it should be at least 5, I think. Make the goal higher and just have the map reset less.
the only way to get around that would be to make the chokepoint areas non-buildable but i dont know if thats possible
It's just a terribly designed map and should be deleted from our hard drives.
All the other maps have a mix of long lines of sight and corners.. means you have to make a choice when building a sentry, and be aware that no one spot is going to be able to cover all the approaches. With the limited sight of the sentry, it leaves the long range classes an opportunity to destroy the sentry.
2fort is nothing but close range fighting, so there's no way to neutralize a sentry without an uber.

When locked in a one on one, and the enemy runs out of ammo and pulls out his melee weapon, you should in turn pull out yours and duke it out.
fear the gumpy!

This (to me) seems weird and unusual. Does your game stutter regularly during any other events?

Edit: BEATED SO HARD OH GOD THE PAIN
I want to go demo some people and KABEEEWM

Have you tried deleting that client blob thing or whatever it's called that I hear people talking about? Or reinstalling? Or what not?

If Zulu taught me anything it is that you do the exact opposite of this. You pull out more guns, if possible, and shoot them to shit.
2Fort is better.
yeah
that idea is dumb
shoot dem in da face

Obviously, the construction company is owned by Nazis and the demolition company is owned by Indiana Jones.
I just shoot at things that are the opposite colour. I don't have the energy to try to figure out if they are members of fight club.
I shoot at people that are the same color, just in case they're a spy.
I SHOOT AT EVERYTHING.

I don't see why not, there are no build locations. Like some roofs and spawn.
Ive waited a long time for this.
Don't we all?
